Hey if you three ever do show up for a tour, don't arrive in the same vehicle. People would talk. It's a small, ....phobic town. Do call first.

^ That's pretty interesting right there.

So, SS RRR and SS MPSTR (are you related? names are similar), why are you guys busting on BRE so bad? Did Bret screw you over somehow? Or do you just not like the fact that he has some confidence (overconfidence?) and lets his mouth run once in awhile?

I'm not really seeing what you guys dislike that much about him, I've always found him very helpful and even got a cam from him.

Now when I'm questioned about credibility, I whip out a Twain quote and somehow feel empowered - especially when I say it around folks who are young enough to be my kids.

No.
Not busting on him - I'm asking a question.
No.
Confidence is a positive trait - arrogance gets you in hot water if you can't back it up, plus most people just don't like it.

No debate that he posts much helpful information.

You are busting on him, you infact are making it very personal with your criticism. Now that also includes his father. Honestly what are you hoping to achieve here with your question? I see some credentials given in this thread already with a number of 11 second street cars, theres another thread about the second fastest LT1 car with LE TFS heads/BRE cam(8.50 1/4 mile). Also there is an abundant amount of people here that dyno well with his cams, which alone is proof that the cams he specs make power. There are more impressive results but those that have already been stated don't seem to be what your looking for. So again, what are you really trying to ask?

Is there something in the air, that I don't know about? It's not heading east is it? You two guys are a gas, I love this stuff. Then theres a couple of other ones that need some work though, to be as entertaining as #1 & #2.

Whoa...senior stroker stepped on his own in here. If you want to step up to the gauntlet to defend someone, be prepared to answer the questions and take a little heat for avoiding the issue, especially if your defense relies on irrelevant stuff, or thinly vieled idle threats.

I have been asking for credentials to substantiate the BRE greatness - what makes his cams/engines (are there even any engines?) superior to anything else offered? Some of his cams work (I give the dyno number the weight they deserve) in a few cars - so what? So do shelf grinds and cams by others. There is nothing spectacular about the performance that warrants the flamboyant attitude - especially one where he believes he's in the same company of folks who actually do have a performance resume to brag about. It's all a self-propagated fantasy of countless engines "on the lung", "making 10-seconds seem slow", "600 hp mills" that irk some members to the point of openly asking the questions that have been presented here, and remain unanswered.

Interestingly, some of those "in the know" within the performance industry have read this thread and their comments to me are not flattering to the BRE empire. It started as a serious question of credibility and substantiation to support greatness, but has been turned into a pissing contest between the 'believers' versus those 'questioning'.

Don't go braging about that tube chassis race car (it might not be a tube chassis but its a full out race car). It weighs probably mid 2000lbs and barely went the MPH of the Ai190 headed PTS turbo car. The PTS car went 155mph! And it wasn't near the race car that BRE powered car was.

And as for the German vs. British author....wow. You really bated me there. Hook line and sinker like it really matters!

SS, why not have them post up if they have something to say. Otherwise, what's the point.

Anyone notice that the tread on LS1Tech asking about BRE's resume was deleted? Some of the comments were eye opening to say the least.

Perhaps they like for you to do the posting for them?
Just a thought.

Whoa, don't you have that backwards? Why don't you don't you do the posting for them? You have no problem posting your thoughts on what the rest of us should think or question.
Your not losing your touch are you? I would hate for this thread to die off. By the way, I love the use of the faces all the time, do this in public too?
