How about a split between Street Stick and Street Automatic? Let us gear bangers beat on each other for a while!

Any who, Im interested in going. My heads should be on by then and will hopefully be running 12.001 (oops no roll bar in the plans yet)

Johnny, I would love to come out and play again this time with a car that's running 100%. For the LT1 bolt on event the car was running 14.0's on 61/2 cylinders. One plug wire was broken completely (internally) and another burnt and shorting against the header. So much for the don't make any major changes in mid season rule. I have a handful of high 12 runs and should do better with the colder air. From my poor showing last time out I feel that I really owe you something. Since Brian will more than qualify for running in the event I'll offer my services for the day. I'll work for pizza. Again thank to you and Jim for the great time. A few items:

- No, we will not move the race away from E-town. We have a formal negotiated relationship with them for track time.

- We have not set a date, and won't for quite a while. Spring or summer is all I'm prepared to say. If the NJ Nets make the play-offs, it could be the later.

- If you were in the last shootout, you are ineligible. Let some of the other guys have a chance.

- This will be invitational only. If you are not invited, then you can't just show up. This is a closed session, not an open event.

- I will attempt to have all levels of mods represented, from bolt-ons to crazy stuff. The idea will be to match up similar cars LT1 to LS1. I'll even consider good running near-stock cars.

- Looks count too (the car and your g/f, not you)

- If you wish to be considered, send real (in other words REAL) photos, tech sheet, time slip and contact info at the address listed above. I don't not have time to browse links or websites.

- A complete rear-exiting exhaust will be required. C'mon guys, read the post! Repeat after me: "Rear Exiting, rear exiting, rear exiting..."

- Hint: Practicing your driving and tuning with your existing combo will probably go farther than buying a shopping cart full of parts at the last minute. Read the shootout in the new issue to find out why.

- Send your entries in ASAP. Again, do not burden me with jpegs, links or websites. I won't consider laser prints, computer prints or digital images of any kind either. Real glossy film prints only.

I think I'm actually going to try and get in on this.

But honestly there are some fast LT1 and Ls1 cars out there...

Hey moose. i hope you do get in on this, it seems like it would be a fun thing to do. I might get in on it too if i ever get my heads and cam on.

I sent my info in to Johnny today. Hopefully the event will occur and I will be invited! Wouldn't it be even more interesting if it were F-body v. Y-body, or LT1/LS1 v. Ford or v. imports? With comparable cars, of course.

Still, it sounds like fun as is. I might even come to spectate if not invited provided some interesting cars will be there. Will it be open to spectators?

nope, its a private event Mr.Krause. You shouldnt have anything to worry about, you know your goin to be picked. I guess I wont be getting that tru dual setup if I get picked.

I also have questions about the pics

Do you want pics to verify mods or for perdy it is

I have exterior mod pics that are current except the new rims/tires. I dont have any pics of my Mods though

What is the criteria that you select us upon?

Im not too worried about it,

385 and the decimeter dont get along to well...

besides i still need every rear suspension and driveline mod in the book....

unless i win the lottery... drag racing is out for now....i already know she'll spin... im sure eveyone believes me....

tires? i already know she'll break, no since in ticking off the pocket book
