Street cam with torque(full precise details)
ChiTownHustler= J&J's speed shop. He has some personal grudges with Bret and finds the need to bash him. Hes such a wuss that he even made this screen name to bash Bret & his father after warnings from moderators under his other name. Guy is a pip-squeak that also uses the alias "ChiTownHustler" to stir up sales on other websites, by saying stuff like wow I just bought this part from J&J's speed shop and they blew everyone elses price outta the water. Guy has even PM'd me trying to get my business on heads/work on a previous car. So one more woodchuck that comes out in threads like these. ****ing clowns...

That was your first mistake.... reading a stupid magazine as if they are the only ones who know how to make a combination work. You should've been at least in Texas at either Texas Motorplex or Houston Raceway Park back in the mid '90's since they were highly considered to have some of the fastest f-bodys in the nation as well as Maryland.
Stupid magazine, well where i live there are not alot of cars being modified, and even less FI cars being modified and i don't have the money to experiment myself so i have to rely on magazines to show me what works and what doesn't.And over the years they have covered pretty much all the big shops across the US so don't tell me they don't know what they are doing. Now i will admit when it comes to modding a car themselfs they almost always screw it up when it comes to the LT1 but they cover lots of cars that have been modded by those big shops that i mentioned. And the only ones that i have seen that are really fast run either a power adder or a solid roller setup. When it comes to stock ported LT1 castings and hydraulic cam the le/bre setup works as good or better than anything i have read about.I give an ex of the so calle LPE setup.94 firehawk - LPE built 383,CNC LT1 castings,211/219 LPE cam,6 speed and all boltons = 12.8 1/4 at 110mph.High-tech performance January 1998.And there are many, many more that i can find that didn't do as good as many of the LE/Bre setups and they most often cost alot more.So here is a question for you,if you are so passionate about proving that you have seen better 10 years ago then list them and be honest about the cost and time put into the build ups to make them so damn fast.

Going by magazine articles is the WORSTE thing you can do when modifying a car.

No kidding? If one hasn't learned that everything they hear should be taken with a grain of salt, it's their problem. Not that I haven't made the same mistake too, once in a while.
Well maybe it is where you live, but i can tell you if i were to listen to most of the builders around here where i live i would be slower that a stock LT1 car, thats if you could even keep the engine from grenading evey time you started it up.I get alot of information off this site, but when ever you find someone who seems to know what they are doing there is always someone who will come along and bash them, its not just LE or Brett who gets bashed,it is anyone who comes on here and tries to help out.I have seen it over and over again.
Haha, yeah i am starting to think so too.Well i really can't say that,i have learned alot off here and from magazines. All the work done on my car was done by me and me only, mind you i don't have alot done but everything i did i learned from this site and magazines, even porting my own heads.Mind you they probably are not ported that well but the car did work better after doing it so you can learn from this site if you are careful about who you listen too.
Post what up? Have you been reading this thread or do you just want to jump right in the middle just to read what you type?
Excuses? Do you know how to read? I challenge you to find ANYWHERE in this thread where I've given excuses of the fast cars here (... all three of them now?). Again, you haven't been reading thoroughly if at all.
Search/read/learn
Hell if everyone is happy with a 400+rwhp car that runs low 12's @ 114mph then more power to them. As said it seems to be the norm now. Next year it'll take 600rwhp to break into the 11's.
there have been many examples of good running combos(le/bre) posted in this thread and every time you make some kind of excuse about how that is not what you wanted
so post up some unhappy customers, lets see em

Please... just stop quoting magazine ET's. Please?
Few things you must know... I am not POSITIVE on this, but every LPE LT1 car a magazine ever tested has been emissions legal. At least the ones I've read about and I used to cling onto LPE's ******** hairs religiously back in the day so I've read most everything ever published by a magazine LPE/LT1 wise. Emissions legal meant they had stock exhaust manifolds or shorty headers, stock y-pipe and a catalytic converter(s). My stock block LPE setup when emissions legal (meaning Edelbrock shorties and stock dual cat Y-pipe) turned 12.6 @ 110 w/ some sort of 1.9 60'. With LT headers/ORY under the same tune I gained 4mph. Went from 4.10's to 3.73's ang gained another mph. Dynoed 350/350 when emissions legal and 370/355 with the LT headers and ORY.
Magazines also tend to correct their numbers meaning it could've actually ran slower or faster given the conditions.
If you aren't fully aware of what's been happening at the drag strip for the last 10 or more years, why are you posting here?

Since you're so efficient at correcting grammatical & typing mistakes, why not correct or clarify all the "ill-informed perceptions" about the BRE empire, and more specifically, its lack of credentials?
