I like the way the CVR starter sounds.... but I have no idea how it compares to the LT4. I know it sounds a he!! of a lot better than the stock LT1 starter (2 of which died on me). Its fun to start the car to pull it off the trailer... reach in the window and turn the ignition to on, wait for the whine of the dual Bosch fuel pumps to stop, and turn it to start and have it start before the engine has made a full revolution.... . At that point, the rumble of the exhaust and the clatter of the solid roller cam takes over.....
