I have SLP single cat mid length headers on my 95 M6.

I was wondering if anyone else was using the LT4 with SLP headers?

I believe you read it interfered with FLP headers... not SLP. I have the set up with FLP's and definately had to modify the Starter to work with the FLP's.. I have not heard anything about the SLP headers..

Re: LT4 Starter is sweet!!

Why not just use the starter from a 4.3 if your looking for something smaller and a little more torquey ?

Re: LT4 Starter is sweet!!

Um yes, LT1 starters ARE gear reduction. How do I know? Because I have had
mine apart and saw it with my own eyes. It is kinda deceiving because the LT1 starter uses a planetary gear reduction so the motor and the drive gear are still in line with each other, unlike the LT4 (and others) which use a regular gear reduction (1 gear on the motor, a larger gear on the output shaft.) I do like the sound of the LT4 starter and when I need a replacement, that is what I will get.

Perhaps your spelling is that bad, but mine isn't.

I did a search, here is the link.

Clearly says SLP headers and LT4 starter. Not enough info to figure out what is going on. Thats why I was asking.

Learn to read.

He answered every question in my post except he assumed that I was making a mistake. So how could he have thought I was talking about an earlier post?

There is an "***" here, but it is you, "Dumbass 94".

Nobody asked your opinion on anything.

If you don't have anything useful to add, like hey there may be a clearance problem, then just stay out of it.

Because in an earlier post someone posted about fitment problems with FLP's, you need to learn to comprehend dumb ***.

My bad.... Now you tought me something.. But in no way was I questioning you intelligence.................... until now! Now can you please tell me why you gotta be like that? This is a forum to discuss and learn. People with your tough guy attitude behind a keyboard are pretty much why I don't visit these sites very often anymore. I would love to get into a personal attack thread here with you now but I am too old for that and it is Christmas and my first one with my new daughter and that is all that matters. Once again I am sorry for just making sure you were on your right track. It was not a attack on you, believe me or not. That is not my style. Happy Holidays... (Seriously)

I suggest everyone calms down. It's not highly looked upon to be swearing and yelling at each other over such a silly mistake on this board. Internet hard asses are not favored here.

If your going to be cross with everyone, I suggest you cut your losses and leave right now.

Re: LT4 Starter is sweet!!

I think people should note who started the name calling.

I wasn't me.

It was "'94 Bad A Z28"

He still has nothing to add and is still posting, very sad.

No surprise he has "***" abreviated in his handle, but due to his bad spelling he leaft out the "D".

I think he means to say, '94 Bad DA Z28.

Pretty anoying when people tell you what you are saying rather than asking, isn't it?

I have never had much luck teaching people manners, if they don't know any by the time they learn to write it is too late.
