Anyway...

Guys, if you want to try to duplicate InjectedSS's efforts, IMO your best bet is to try ordering though his local 24 hour warehouse store - 801-532-1919

Well, hopefully everyone will find it as easy as you did to find the complete unit.

come on man this isnt that big of a deal! im sure all that needs to take place is that autozones need to get rid of their CURRENT stock of the #30-1833's that used to ONLY be the distributor! and THEN they will ALL carry the NEW ONE #30-1833 that is the complete unit! im telling ya you guys are gonna go to autozone and buy one and more and more people will be getting the COMPLETE units and you guys are gonna be like "OMG InjectedSS was right"

Hope this is true! I bought my rebuild kit (Cap and Rotor) for 130.00 at Napa here in town. Been on for over 15,000 miles and running great. Rebuilds are not that big of a deal guys. I bet you would never buy a reman Amplifier or Television for 1/3 the price of a new one either. I would..especially if its warrantied.

Of course My local Autozone accused me of lying and being full of it when I asked them for an Optispark..they told me I made it up..and they had never heard of such a thing. I couldn't get a rebuild kit even..that was about a year ago.

Guys InjectedSS was correct.A local Autozone here "Northern Florida"has the same exact thing as he got.A friend "that bought one from them already" told me they had them there and i just got off the phone with them.
The person i talked to at Autozone said that they used to not come with cap/rotor,but they were having alot of issues with people buying just the lifetime warranty opti electronics and putting old cap/rotors on them and burning up the opti then returning them for another new one.So now they come with the opti,cap,rotor..

He also said it might take a little bit to get all the old stock used up.And if you go to Autozone and buy a part # 30-1833 and it doesn't come with cap/rotor to not buy it and try another Autozone..He said all the Autozone stores should of gotten a memo telling them this..He also said it is not uncommon for the memo's to not be read, cause sometimes there are alot of different parts listed..

I am going to buy the opti, and i'll just replace mine every year or so,can't beat a lifetime warranty..i just have to convert mine to vented style..so i have a few other parts to buy as well..

Anyway just wanted to let you guys know, and that InjectedSS was only trying to help out,and he was correct...

Thanks InjectedSS cause without this thread i would of never even thought of an Autozone opti..lol..

Steve

Any chance you could get this memo posted so we can flash it at the local autozone guys?
