500+ Rwhp
Re: 500+ Rwhp
I love how everyone is going to go "spray 250 to 300." Everyone dismisses this as something simple and easy. It's thrown around as if every motor with a forged part is built for a 300 shot.
If spraying a 250-300 were as easy as a 150 shot, everyone would be doing it...but everyone isn't doing it.

Re: 500+ Rwhp
I have to agree with you on that one. It's not for the faint of heart to spray 250-300HP n2o and expect most smallblocks to last very long. I won't spray more than 200-225HP unless it's for some cash and then I should be able to get it done with 200HP. Later Clint

my motor was built as a n20 motor with very close attention to clearences and alot of tricks done to it from my cousin who races his own top dragster i agree 300 shot isnt to be used by everyone but the guys in this post i think are all high end guys dont see any new face's
Re: 500+ Rwhp
amean94TA...so was everyone else's motor.
Let me ask you something...you want 500 rwhp and then on top of it spray a 300 shot right?
So how do you figure that 4L60E is going to handle that?

I don't think it will in my personal opinion but i'm gonna stick with it as long as possible. I've heard tale of people building them with real good and solid racing parts and holding true but i would have to talk to someone that builds them to find out. I have a TH-400 but i would love to keep OD espically when i'm gonna buy a high dollar stall for a 4L60E. That would be money wasted on the stall plus beefing up the TH-400 and switchin it all over to make it work. Also investing in a Gear Benders over drive makes for alot of money. But if i had the money i'd prolly do it cause TH-400's and Th-350 are real good transmissions.

Rossler has run in the 8's with a 'vette with his builds of a 4L60E.

Personally, I like joking with the nitrous guys. You may beat me the first, second, 3rd, 4th, maybe the 5th time, but eventually that bottle runs out.
