Those are the guys I've seen break stuff on the 75 hit.

Maybe I came off wrong. I didn't think what you said was directed at me or anybody in particular but rather a mindset, and I agree with you. I always thought that 250-300 was big until I started really exploring and learning what a properly built combo can take. I will never know as much about it as I want and I guarantee I'll frag something on this one sooner or later. I just hope it's later. I've already been there, done that one too many times.

I hear that. I have spent almost two years getting this one together and the kicker is no matter what level of preparation exists there is still the potential for catastrophic meltdown from equipment failure.

Sorry if I sounded crass. I was trying to underscore your point rather than disagree with it.

i just dont know why with as long as the lt1 has been around and how many guys have pushed this ticket and the many that are right now why no break throughs on a solid combo to hit the high numbers
By looking at your sig I can't wait to see you shoot a 300 shot and watch the 4L60E explode. Even Dana at Pro Built doesn't recomend over 600 hp on his race 4L60E. I would seriously look into a turbo 400 or equivelent to hold up to that kind of power.

I'm gonna be running a 4L60E, and lord i dont want it to explode. I'll prolly run all motor for a year, then spray it. I do have a TH-400 sittin out back i can build.

Like I said in an earlier post,Rossler has um running in the 8.50's and that's a LOT more than 600 HP.
A guy down here runs a GM rebuilt and has for a couple of years and run 6.60's 1/8 mile on a butt load of hose.

I'd love to keep my 4L60E, when i get the money prolly have it built to the max, and Nice 12 Bolt from Moser. Good rear swaybar, subframes so the chassic don't twist. TQ arm. I believe thats it. And a real good breaking system, damn stock sucks.

Stoping with stock from 130 in the 1/4 mile no problem. The chassis is going to need a thousand dollars worth of shocks if ya want it to act right and ya can run the stock sway bar.
Yea yea everybody runs stock shocks, but the cars that do look like a horse fixing to jump a fence and that's wasting time.Front end is going up while the car SHOULD be moving forward.
Add some LCA's to that list and relocation bracket's for them.

That's the problem with bottles, they evetually run dry. I loved my blown formula for that reason.
She hasn't figured out why you always make her ride in the back yet?

Mindgame said he built a 355 with AFR RR heads that did, still waiting on the 396 dyno of the puppy I have in the shop, it should do 500rwhp easy.

NONE!, as in ZERO

Everyone knows how to build one though or is in the process of building it and have been for the last 5 years.

I'm with you ron. There are a few here that have done it or can do it. Your averge guy will never see it but they all seem to know what everyone else is missing. I would like to see how close I can get with a 355 but I'm prolly gonna run out of time on this little 4 year old motor....I think its getting tired..keeps going faster though...lol. When is your car gonna be completed?

Re: 500+ Rwhp

Hey Tim,
Good to hear from you man. I don't know exactly when it will be done. That is up to Thunder, but hopefully sometime in late March/early April. My single plane should be done this week and shipped out for its runner coatings, then off to Thunder for installation. I'm not sure after all this that it was worth all the trouble and $$$ for the numbers and performance but I also haven't had a chance to play around with it either.

Keep up the work with your setup. That thing is running awesome.

Ron,

Speaking of....

Your intake is ready to go to Polydyne. If you are just getting the inside coated I will glass bead it and send it out, just need to know where and what PO number to slap on it.

Re: 500+ Rwhp

Bret, sounds good. Could you email me a few pics of the finished product before coating? I'll have the PO# for you in the next day or so and we'll be in business. Also, I'd like to talk to you about powdercoating of some sort after you get it back to reattach the carbon. Thanks,

Ron
