Re: 500+ Rwhp

Yea i was thinking of 2 stage with a 250 shot. The cam is pretty big and i got 12.1 compression with JE .45 over pistons. I believe it will be pretty mean 398 with a Hydraulic roller. I was thinking of Solid Roller but i went the Hydraulic route cause of the money issue. But i think it will turn out to be a nice engine. I'll prolly go to the sheet metal intake and an mono blade down the road. I believe it will be alright with the LT4 and the Arizona speed and Marine 58mm throttle body for now. I know i will probably lose some Hp but maybe it want be to much. But will see when i get it all together and gets dynoed with a Real good tune.

That's what I'm talkin' about. My idea of a bad street combo is a 632 with a high helix Kobelco on alchohol in front of a lenco in a tube frame duece with a 40 gallon fuel cell and license plates.

I have flow numbers and dyno sheets but this was from another LT1 I had so I'll have to dig up the papers. The HP was SAE.

It will be fine. Ya will have a hard time controlling it on the street with 450RWHP.
We are having a hard time keeping the back bumper intact with 383's on motor with a brake. But it just takes chassis tuning to get the 1.30 60' times and keep it from hunting sky.
With that kind of power ya may be sooner than ya think before ya have to get a driveline.

Re: 500+ Rwhp

Yea i know, i trying not to think about the drivetrain but its hard, i know i will have to have a 12 bolt for sure. I hoping the 1200 rebuilt 4L60E will last alittle while without it busting all to peaces. I have a trans go shift kit in the
4L60E right now been rebuit for about year and half now with a junky 2400 B&M stall. But thats coming out for a 3800 fuddle or yank or viglante. But we'll see. I am sure theres alot more LT1's putting down alot bigger numbers than mine, but i have alot of good parts going into the engine. I hope it puts down 450+ rwhp, and still could drive it on the street every once in awhile.

me too its all what you can get past the enviroment aka smog police as long as it has plates and it takes only one person to start it plus you can keep it cool for 30 miles of open driving it passes in my book

the fun is knowing you have one of the fastest cars on the street at most of the local shows, coming down the street and watching heads turn and nose's pick up that 110 vp
But what do you do against a guy like 97WS6Charged that's putting down 600rwhp when you're running a wild N/A 500rwhp car at the car shows?

Well, fewer accessories means less parasitic drag on the motor. Reduced weight is just another benefit.

lol, I probably had that one coming. I'll say the **** doesn't get burnt so much as the underside of the legs. 100+ day = 120+ inside the car = hot leather seats Vinyl is even better.

Honestly, on the street it won't matter. You'll pretty much get a smoke show on anything over 400 rwhp with street tires. At 460 rwhp (heads/cam/blower LT1), I could turn a set of 275/40/17 Khumos at 50 mph in 3rd gear.

No knock at all against 97WS6Charged, he's a good guy, but if I got called out by a similar car...

Drop the 29.5x.13.5 QTP's down to 12 psi, crack open both bottles and answer the call with 930rwhp...

then feel real proud of myself all the way to jail or the hospital or both...

Ya don't pull any accessories on an engine dyno.
It ain't a true street car unless it has all legal equipment, insurance, tag and pinks.
It's fun to kick some *** and roll up your power windows, turn on the air,and some tunes. turn on the windshield washer's so ya can see and wave everybody by and tell them better luck next time.
