id just like to have the capability to do mods to my car and not have to rely on other people to tune it every time i change something. but i dont have money to burn like some guys do.....

The OBD2 LT1/LT4 tuning package will be out in about 3 or 4 weeks. TC is working hard on it as I type. That is his main focus now. His LS1 tuning packages has been officially released. The only coverage that is not done is for the 97/98 LS1 cars. Here is a link to another forum dedicated to Tuner Cat:

TC's recent email to me says that LT1 ODB2 is available. This is good news if it's for real.

If it's available, then why isn't there any information on their website?

He doesn't have anything on his website, even for the platforms that have been available for a while. I have been on him for the 96-97 LT1 and they released it a week or so ago. To get it you have to email him at tc@tunercat.com. He will then give you the info and the way to pay for it: check, money order, or paypal. I used paypal and he had it to my door in two days. Just read my pcm for the first time about an hour ago.

Re: News Flash!! TUNERCAT OBD2 TUNER AVAILABLE NOW!!

so how much does it cost? and what are the computer requirements? window 98, XP?

and do you have to buy the cable seperately for like $100?

oh yeah, can you adjust the air fuel ratio with tunercat using the o2 sensors on the car or do you have to run it on a dyno?

thanks,
jeremy

It's $380 and includes the cable. You can adjust the air fuel ratio with it, but without a wideband O2 (as commonly available at a dyno or you can buy one of the handheld units) you are pretty much shooting in the dark. I don't know what the computer requirements are - I am running it on a AMD K6-2 400 Mhz toshiba laptop running windows 2000. I am sure tc can tell you.

Here is what I got from tc:
Hi Joe,

Our OBDII Tuner is now available with support for the following vehicles:

OBD2_07 1996 - 1997 Vortec Trucks (4.3L, 5.7L, 7.4L)
OBD2_06 1998 - 2000 Vortec Trucks (4.3L, 5.7L, 7.4L)
OBD2_02 1999 - 2000 LS1 Trucks (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L)
OBD2_08 1996 - 1997 Camaro/Firebird/Corvette LT1
OBD2_01 1999 - 2001 Camaro/Firebird/Corvette LS1
OBD2_03 2001 - 2002 LS1 Trucks (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L)
OBD2_04 2003 - 2005 LS1 Trucks (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L)
OBD2_05 2002 - 2003 Camaro/Firebird/Corvette LS1
OBD2_10 2004 Corvette
OBD2_12 2004 GTO

The following are scheduled for release soon:

OBD2_09 1997 - 1998 Camaro/Firebird/Corvette LS1

The OBDII Tuner package sells for $379.95 and includes the following:

OBDII Tuner Program on CD
OBDII/RS232 Interface
OBDII Cable
RS232 Cable
Your choice of one Vehicle Definition File

Additional Vehicle Definition Files can be purchased for $79.95 each.

As with all our software, the OBDII Tuner program is not VIN locked to a
single vehicle.

Since we don't have the OBDII Tuner up in the web site yet, you can either
order via PayPal (to tc@tunercat.com) or send a check or money order.

Re: News Flash!! TUNERCAT OBD2 TUNER AVAILABLE NOW!!

Those who have used this program.. is there any advantages using it over the OBD1? Id hate to switch if there is nothing to gain other than being emissions legal but then again Id have to get cats and all that bs so Im not concerned about being legal at the moment.

No compelling advantage I know of. I was running a 95 pcm but emissions are forcing me to put my 96 pcm back in.

"B" body? Like in Impala SS with OBD2 LT1? Sure the new OBD2 Tuner Cat will work fine with that as well.
