You can adjust/edit with it. Fuel, ignition, trans, disable trouble codes, etc. The list goes on and on...

 

I can see !CAGS for my 00 C5 in the near future plus then I'll be able to help out some buds on their newer stuff for only 79 beanz.

You list an interface and 2 cables? Isn't it just one OBDII to RS232 cable? Also, if I already have Tuner cat and a OBDII cable, can I just buy the Definition file?

No, the tuner package comes with its own special communications box. The OBD2 cable between the box and the end that connects to the OBD2 port has a 15 pin connector much like a Hyper-Crap cable. The serial interface cable is the same as whats on the OBD1 Tuner Cat cable, or the AKM cable.

Those peices are a dime a dozen, that is important is the OBD2 communications box, the tuner program is totally different than the old OBD1 tuner. Instead of a TDF file you now have a VDF file and in order to edit these files you need a VDF editing tool as well. This will allow you to create, and or edit your OBD2 tuner PCM definitions.

This is one tool that none of the other tuner packages can offer. If you want to add a table, edit a table or add a DTC you can do it with the VDF editor provided you have the hex addresses of the switch, or table entries that you are wanting to add. So a bit of knowledge about HEX and disassembly of the PCM code is going to be necessary.

Just reviewed the list of supported vehicles...Im curious, would I be able to use one of the definition files on a 2002 4.3 s10 Blazer?
