Me 3 ...

I need to do some "turning off" of parameters for a race car. I'd like to do it myself as opposed to using a "tuner" person.

I have been using the product for several months now. And it works great. Contact TC for availability for your model year vehicle. Most LS1 stuff is available now, 96/97 LT1 and 98/99 LS1 cars is either completed or will be in short order.

I emailed them last week about the 96-97 LT1 cars and they replied that it would be towards the end of the month. We'll see, I have been asking for probably over a year now.

Word is that they've been working on this for 2 years. I highly doubt they'll release it anytime soon.

Much like Microsoft who will NEVER be able to fix IE, the folks at TC can't seem to get OBD2 software rolled out.

I personally could care less, I have OBD1

I am really sorry to dissapoint you but the obd2 software EXISTS and its useful.. its still on beta and it does work although there are some bugs... TC is very hardworking and is giving this stuff to us for what it would cost a ton from other places...

It will be out pretty soon.

We have been using it also for several months and it is doing fine. The few bugs that we have ran across were corrected very quick.

Re: News Flash!! TUNERCAT OBD2 TUNER AVAILABLE NOW!!

how are you guys using it if its still not out yet? and im just wondering if there is some basic instructions on how to use the software. ive never tuned before so i dont want to be going into this totally blind.

is it pretty simple to use? looking at all the tables on their site looks pretty confusing. which table does what? which tables work together or affect one another.......ya know?

is the price still the same? if so, why is the OBD-1 Fbody software so cheap.....isnt it like 20 bucks???

thanks,
jeremy

not being a jerk, but... i have never seen a wrench come with instructions... there is a lot of info on the net, so i don't think that is a must when you are considering buying a tuner.

Re: News Flash!! TUNERCAT OBD2 TUNER AVAILABLE NOW!!

Yeah umm, turning a wrench and computer tuning a PCM aren't really similar. to the average guy.IMO.

Look, i just dont want to spent hundreds of dollars on something just to be one of those guys on here sayin somthing like...."i think i just fried my PCM." or i just adjusted this table now my car wont run and i cant figure out how to fix it!!!"

id just like to have the capability to do mods to my car and not have to rely on other people to tune it every time i change something. but i dont have money to burn like some guys do.....
