Zeta...Zeta....Zeta.......

Yes.
There is no point to designing a "new" platform that performs like Sigma but costs less.
Because......
The only reason that Sigma costs more than the V-car, is the suspension. And virtually, the only reason Sigma performs better than V-car is the suspension. Add an SLA multilink set-up to it...and V-car cost the same as Sigma (and we already have Sigma). Delete Sigma's suspension...to save cost... and you're left with V-car (and we already have V-car).
No freebees. There are no super secret, super performing, supercheap components...reserved only for Zeta. It's ALL marketing spin.
It is my understanding that Zeta is simply V-car, re-engineered to fit North American manufacturing bill of process. It is also my impression that it's considered "new" because now it can be assembled in NA plants...rather than only Holden. It's is also my impression that the car's suspension, will now be a complete carry-over.
Who knows Darth.....your GTO may be the '08 Camaro. Or more likely...the car we've been thinking might be Camaro.

This is just you take right? Because the whole thread seems to spawn off that thinking in that paragraph.

This would be odd at best.
Why not just give them different names if that is the case?
And, unless governmental issues are spurring the differences, why develop two platforms for use in different countries, when Lutz has been tooting the "global structure"?
Doesn't seem to add up....

I'm thinking one structure...with two different suspension systems.

Why develop two seperate suspensions systems for two seperate countries?
What is gained by doing this, and making them exclusive to each country?
Still doesn't make sense, unless both setups would be used in both places...

Z284ever, you really need do some better "research" before you start opening your mouth and implanting your horrible ideas into these peoples minds.

Charlie's been around here since Moses and does his homework.......just who the heck are you? And why should we believe a word of what you say?
How about introducing yourself before you come on here with your one post and slam a long time poster.....whose been right more than not.
Re: Zeta...Zeta....Zeta.......
When I say great things are coming...I'm not necessarily talking about an 'F' body but rather other cars that will satisfy the performance appetite. Stay tuned.
To me, if there is no Camaro in the Chevy portfolio then I am not interested period. Corvette is too expensive and GTO is nice but not what I'm looking for. And any other new car that pretends to be a Camaro but isn't is a slap in the face.

Ummm..... thanks for the input.
BTW, where do you do your research?
