So you want to save the Camaro name???
Dear Mr. MXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting Chevrolet and for your interest in the Chevrolet Camaro! We appreciate the passion that our customers have for these cars and we're pleased to be celebrating them with a 35th Anniversary Edition Camaro.

GM will continue to support the millions of Camaro and owners with replacement parts, reproduction parts, accessories and technical support through its Service Parts Organization.
If you have any additional questions or would like to receive product information on any of our other vehicles, you may write back or contact our Chevrolet Marketing Support at 1-800-950-2438, between 8:00am - 11:00pm Eastern time, seven days per week. Thank you for contacting Chevrolet!

Don't I feel special.
Done and Done:
I hope I got the point across
Please forward the following message to Product Chairman Bob Lutz.
I would also like to thank GM for keeping American performance cars alive and taking Chevrolet performance into the 21st century.
I am writing this message to convey my feelings on the Camaro brand. The Camaro represents much more than vehicle to many people. To the most loyal customer base the Camaro represents an ideal, a dream for some. The Camaro is the bearer of a proud 40 year tradition at GM. For five decades the Camaro represented the best America had to offer, and if it returns the consumer will recognize it as such, but ONLY if it returns as the CHEVROLET CAMARO. Over time a simple product can become so engrained in the mythos of a culture that it becomes a legend. The automotive industry has been built around these representations of the greatest elements of our culture. A brand name can come to represent freedom, power, and prestige to the common driver. The Camaro IS one of these revenue generating legends, and I implore you to take into consideration what it means to every day consumers and enthusiasts alike. Thank you for your time sir.
Sincerely, Gordon Young
Also, here is a link to my personal webpage featuring more information and pictures, I hope it is enjoyed: http://www.txstate.edu/gy1004

I GOT A RESPONCE, AND YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT THEY SAID
Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. We certainly
appreciate your owning a 1991 Camaro and taking the time to write to us
regarding the demise of this model.
On Tuesday, August 27th, 2002, at about 9:20 am, the last 4th Generation
Chevrolet Camaro came off the line at Ste.Therese, Boisbriand, Quebec. While
there are no plans now for a next generation Camaro, GM will keep the door open
to bringing back the Camaro name at some point in the future if the product is
right.
Although the Camaro has always had focused appeal, Chevrolet will continue the
tradition of providing performance vehicles with high value. The Malibu,
Colorado, SSR, and Malibu MAXX are currently at your local Chevy dealership and
very shortly, the Equinox and Aveo will join them. We will also be unveiling
the 2005 Corvette as well as a premium small car called the Cobalt which made
its appearance at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and the
Los Angeles International Auto Show.
Thank you again for contacting the Customer Assistance Center and for making the
Camaro your vehicle of choice. We appreciate your family's loyalty and hope we
will be able to provide for all of your future transportation needs.
We have created a computer file, 1-XXXXXXXXX, to notate your comments. If you
should need to contact us in the meantime, please e-mail us again or call our
Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-1020. Our Customer Relationship
Managers are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.,
Eastern Time. When calling or writing please refer to your service request
number above and provide us with your daytime or evening phone number for our
records.
We hope you will consider Chevrolet for all your future transportation needs!
Our goal here at the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center is complete customer
satisfaction. If you feel that we have not achieved this goal, please e-mail us
again and advise if there is anything more we can do to make you a satisfied GM
customer. When writing back please refer to your request number above.
