New AutoWeek story on Zeta...
"We are looking for several hundred thousand a year worldwide," Lutz said. "A lot of that will be in the U.S. because we will have high-value, rear-wheel-drive cars that in some cases will complement current front-wheel-drive sedans or in other cases will replace front-wheel-drive sedans."
Zeta cars will be premium models within a brand. For example, at Buick the Zeta sedan will replace the Park Avenue.
Ron Pniewski, GM vice president of planning, said the architecture will help differentiate GM's brands in the United States.
I guess the question remains, is "Camaro" a premium model?

You gotta like the guys that know everything.
NV, many people have tried to come here and do the same as you and they either lost all their credibility real fast or just left because of it.
You sound like the kind of guy that would look right at the Camaro's Brand Manager and TELL him that it's NOT coming back. Hmmmmmmm.................
(same for the real insiders) Anyone else finding this funny?

We have been hearing from very good and proven sources around here for quite some time confirming to an almost 99% certainty that the Camaro will return before the end of the decade.
I’m not saying your wrong. But in this forum if you cant back your statements up with facts real fast you’ll be written off as a troll real fast. I hate to be blunt, but we take the 5th gen very seriously and don’t pay much attention to people who just spout off contradicting statements with nothing to back them up.
If you want to be taken seriously in this forum you have three choices.
#1: Use this forum like me as an information source. I only give my opinion and in turn soak up as much information as possible
#2: Back your statements up with proven facts and gain creditable respect.
Or
#3: Continue to say things that contradict what is know fact around here only to back it up by cocky responses and be written off and ignored.
Sorry if I’m being blunt and rude but it’s the truth.
Alright look........ You know there are OTHER people in the world who know stuff. Get it... I happen to have a very good friend who works at the GM tech center. No, I won't name names and don't ask it won't happen. We email and talk occasionally. I ask and he sometimes tells me things. Whether or not they are true. Don't know. What I do know is that I'm not a troll and I tend to believe my friend.
What else do you want me to say. He says no car with the name Camaro is planned. Some of that has to do with the politics involved at the St. Therese plant in Canada. He says they currently have some clay models of a Chevy Hiperf car based on the SS concept. What can I say.
Maybe RP can confirm the SS possibility?
