You forgot [sarcasm] [/sarcasm]. The runs in my sig were at Milan and I had to keep the traction control on because I started going sideways on the 2-3.

11.91 is, to me, an outstanding ET for the 118.5mph trap speed for a street car, on street tires, with ~54/46 front/rear weight distribution.

Similarly, 11.93 and 11.96 For the ZL1s seem like *very* low ETs for stock FR cars on street tires given the 116/117mph traps.

Seems to me that the grip there must have been GREAT for you and for the ZL1s.

I'm no drag racer though (obviously)...

2.15 60' for me. Traction control off the line really kills it out of the hole. Did you miss the part about sideways on the 2-3 without the TC? Milan sucks unless GM had it prepped special for them.

That's my guess.

I'm genuinely confused as to how your ET could be so quick relative to your trap speed with a 2.15 60'.

My car's 11.7 @ 129 was with a 2.05 60' time. I honestly don't see how you could be only 2 tenths slower with a trap speed more than 10mph slower and yet have a slower 60' time! From your ET and trap speed I would have guessed a MUCH quicker 60'.

The 3600 stall Yank convertor definitely wasn't helping traction any, and probably hurt my MPH. But the point is that the low end grunt doesn't get you down the track when you can't get traction. So if I had another 150 hp, my car wouldn't do much better at the track.

I also pulled an 11.76 while bracket racing and that was with hitting the brakes at the end of track. The bad part was I still broke out, lost the race, and lost my best time slip. Doh!

Bump for ring times.

Btw, Livernois just put their ZL1 in the 9's. That didn't take long!

Supposedly, ring times will be announced on Press Day, which is supposed to be soon.

After all, 2013 GT500's have been released to ship, as of Friday. This means actual owners will start receiving their cars in the next week.

I think I will be somewhat surprised if they didn't actually manage to best the ZL1's times on Nurburgring.

Re: 2013 GT500 Base MSRP = $54,995

I read a bunch of press releases this morning. No mention of the ring, but they did brag about beating the ZL1 in mileage by 5 mpg.

I have to admit, though, the electronics realtive to launch control look pretty awesome. Plus, Ford is building a scan-tool right into the car, showing all kinds of stuff including multiple point temperature readings under the hood and Air/Fuel ration. Pretty nice setup. Hopefully this will motivate the guys at GM to add this kind of functionality into the Camaro.

Evan Smith is testing the car, in Atlanta, today.

We should start to see some info next week. Hopefully, some will leak out this weekend.
