So you have driven the 2013, to know this??

Ford has done alot to overcome some of the traction issues, but you think they will do nothing??

I guess we will have to wait and see. I will say mid 11's stock.

You can't take a computer and make it hook 650hp at a 3,000rpm drop on stock tires.

It will pull MAJOR power if that is the case and slowly ramp it up as speed increases.

And YOU have the driven the 2013, to know that?!

If a 4.6L PD blower at 390hp with a 6 speed and stiff sidewall street tires was a traction problem, and 5.4L with a PD blower at 500/540/550hp with a 6 speed and a stiff sidewall street tire was a traction nightmare in an all new chassis, then adding 100 with a bigger blower and more displacement on the same tire is going to be a joke. Will Ford do something? Of course they will. Will it be effective? The only way that car will hook on a stock tire is with LESS power. Are they planning on bypassing boost in 1st gear? Reducing fuel, timing, or deactivating spark to cylinders when wheelspin is detected will be useless.

So, lets hear what you think it will run............ stock.

Considering that previously, there has been conjecture that it will not be much faster than the current car............ what do you think??

Just as an FYI, actual buyers are starting to receive their build dates, and have their vins.

Looks like the earliest so far is May 5th. However, there are supposedly cars on the line already. I would image that they may be preproduction units for press fleets.

Although, it known that some magazines have had prototype units to play with for 6 months or so.

True.

I think it's a badass car, but I'm not going to be naive and think that this thing isn't going to have traction problems. 650hp in a 3,500lb car + Street Tires = Traction Nightmare.

Throw a set of 28" drag radials on 15"-17" wheels and this thing will be wicked.

More like 3850 lb. Should be good for ~126 in the 1/4, but ET will be slow for that trap speed, as far as the drag racers are concerned, anyway...

Interesting possible updates on power from the head of SVT.

2013 GT500 Reveal and Q&A with Jamal Hameedi & Jim Owens - Team Shelby

Also, word from an insider, dyno numbers will be about 100 higher than being seen on ZL1's.

Guess we will see.
