Great work! Looks like you're having fun! I love the welds. I bought a cheap harbor freight MIG (Flux only) welder and my welds are getting progressively better but nothing approaching your weld quality. Thanks for posting the pictures. That helps a lot of us in our own creativity.

Looks really good- love the progress...I'm kinda torn between just getting a bigger blower or going the turbo route...decisions decisions...

Blower would be easy since it would be just unbolt and bolt in bigger one...but fab'in up a turbo kit sure does look like a lot of fun...

I'm a huge fan of doing stuff myself and anyone else who does it in their own driveway/garage. Anyone can get out the check book and buy whatever they want- those of us who make stuff ourselves are the ones who get my respect...I give way more props to someone who grabs a welder and some pipe and makes a turbo kit themselves, with scab welds and all..(don't worry, mine look way worse than yours...lol) than someone who spends 5k getting a bolt-on kit with robot welds...

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!!

Actually, that's my goal in life. Right now I'm lucky to afford a bag of ramen.

Those summit rims look good. Makes me want a set for my truck.

update...i bought my first house.....fixed the hotside on the car, fired it up and the headgaskets are ****ed! Shot a bunch of coolant outta the merge. I dunno why, last time I drove the car (month and a half) it was perfect, didnt blow smoke, oil was fine etc.

So the car is done for the year, once i move into my house I will tear the motor down and check it all over.

Well cylinder 8 pumped out a ton of coolant.

Pressure tested every cylinder and it was 210 across every one!

Now the back 4 rockers on both sides started to rust so I need to take them off and wheel them, Im gonna pull the heads next week and see if its the head or gasket.

So kinda good news!!!
