I see you are interested in a turbo setup for your camaro. I'm interested in getting out of mine because I'm out of funds and too busy with my job to spend the needed time. I started up the car and drove it about 150 miles this weekend and due to a lack of partial throttle tuning, I believe I may have melted a piston simply turning onto another road at 25% throttle. She went lean, coughed and then something started knocking. So I am feeling around to see if anybody is interested in a cash or trade offer for the has been a very expensive 3 yr project now and I am just running out of space, energy and funds. I'm wanting to switch over to helping dad fix up his 69 camaros so I need 1 less car. If you are possibly interested in a slightly quicker/cheaper way to a turbo car for trade I have a red 97 Z with a very nice body/interior (114k miles on the body) with a forged with splayed mains 8.4:1 355 LT1 with Dart Pro1 heads, brand new TC78 turbo bolted up to RealQuick's front mount kit through a FMIC, an OFI vertical mount radiator with dual pusher Spal fans, 60# injectors, Lonnie's Dual intake fuel system, and a built 4L60e (originally built by Frank at CPT, but after I had a cooler line run my trans fluid low and burned up the clutches, I had Vince Janis in Akron install the new band and clutches). It has maybe 150 miles on it. I have other goodies on it too and over $20k invested in the project....
Like I said, I believe I either dropped a valve or melted a piston. I don't have a garage of my own yet, so when my parents inherited yet another car, I lost my work space and am not sure how/when I'll ever have time to pull the motor (I do my own work). So the car is "as is", and I am willing to take a huge loss on it due to my priorities. Let me know if you are interested and have any other questions. I could only trade for a car with another good body/paint as mine has, or possibly a late a late 90's-early 2000 truck, or maybe even a newer motorcycle.
