i'm about to do a lt1 swap into my 95 3.4. just search around for an engine, trans, radiator, rear end, kmember, full suspension parts, etc. lt1 would be easier. Also it's easiest to drop the engine out the bottom by disconnecting the whole k member and dropping it out. but like i said search this site and other forums, ebay or craigslist for parts you need and get them. eventually you'll have everything. pm me if you have questions i'll try and answer the best i can

Question 95 Firebird 3.4l v6 manual swap to LS1 V8

Ive been given the option of purchasing a 5.7L V8 LS1 engine with the 4L60e Automatic transmission for $1000.00. My question is this. Would I be able to keep my 3.4L v6 5-speed manual and install the 5.7L v8 in it? I don't want to pass up the oppurtunity because my small 6 lacks the neccessary power to do anything really, and I want to make the car as fast as the hood and exhaust would suggest. I just need to know if they are swapable, if I should buy the rear axle he has with it too, and whether or not it would be worth my time and effort. Thanks in advance for any replies.

check out www.tacreationsusa.com they list all the parts you need if you have a 3.4 or 3.8, and tell what to do to switch to lt1 or ls1.

Fuel Pump Compat

I have a 98 3.8 I need to know if I can keep my 3.8 fuel pump if i drop in a LT1 I looked up the specs and my 3.8 puts out 47 to 53 lbs, the z28 puts out 43 to 57lbs if I remember correctly.

Although the V6's and V8's operate at the same PSI, the V8's use a higher volume.
