id sell the 350 and get an lt1.. much easier/cheaper

 

I just did an LS1 swap into a 02 Camaro V6 if anyone here needs help.

 

How did it out and how much to cost you?

 

how long did it take? what all will be needed for an ls1?

 

i was thinking about doing a swap but i was wandering wich would be easier/cheaper to do lt1 or ls1 for a 97 camaro

 

lt1 would be easier and cheaper than an ls1 i'm sure.

 

But if you're going to do all that work, go with the LS1. its lighter, faster and better. I thought about a swap, but in the end sold my v6 away.

I drove about 5 LT1's 2 stock, and 3 that were modded. one had a cam/ PP heads and boltons.

The Stock LS1's seemed faster and MUCH smoother. Plus the LS1 keeps building power past 6000k RPM and it is built well enough to take it.

 

just to let you know swaping an ls1 into a 97 will be mostly the same parts and an lt1 swap although the wiring will be a lot more difficult and probly require the dash to be rewired

I want an LS2 out of a wrecked GTO or Vette.. or whatever...
what other cars came with the LS2?

Is'nt the LS2 a stock 6.0 liter? dam

I think LS7 = 427
Ls1 = 346
LT1 = 350

 

i think you all have great ideas. i think you should kinda make a guide on prices/step by step/ pics/ best ways to do stuff/things to avoid/ what you need to make it work/

 

I heard z06 was a 383, that would be an AWESOME engine, really would love the 427 too!!!
