As much as I hate to say this but I agree with you on the Supra only..........Mr2 and RX7 are quick but stock they still are not as fast as a Z28........

However the Supra is a force to be reckoned with........I replaced the heads and gaskets in one of these engines.... They are so close to being perfectly timed for the engine and so precise in measurement it is unbelievable and theyre 2nd gear is quite fierce for the size.....

This is probably the only import aside from an NSX or a 300Z I would own......Otherwise it has to be luxury

I was bringing up rx7s and mr2s because they ran with camaros of the same year. A 1991 mr2 turbo would run low 14s(simuliar to a 91 camaro). It just takes a few bolt ons to get one in the 12s too. I know a new ls1 would murder one stock for stock. Thanks for supporting some of my claims. Everyone wants to flame me like I'm talking **** on my own car..lol.
As for everyone rolling thier eyes at me posting this in the kill section....the kill section is where I see most of the **** talking between imports and domestics...so where else would I post it.

BUT IF YOU WANT A KILL I JUST HAPPENED TO RUN INTO A LEXUS IS300. Normally I would not feel threatened ,but this thing had a huge turbo and was fast as hell. He kept reving at me and trying to get me to jump. Well we happened to hit a red light. The light turned green and he jumped. I rolled out to about 15 mph then stood on it. The look on his cocky face was priceless...:ekk: I think he is somewhere now trying to buy a bigger turbo..lol.
So my point is I love all cars ,but don't try to race a 4.10 geared V8 on slicks from stoplight to stoplight unless you got something serious...

Everyone that says most supras with mods just run 12s are full of ****. The guy who owns it just doesn't know how to work on the dam thing correctly. I know a guy here who has one that runs 9.80s and has full interior,ac, can be daily driven,and no he does not have 100,00 dollars under the hood.

I AM NOT DOWNING OUR CARS I AM JUST SAYING CHOICE YOUR WEAPON. They all have thier pluses and minuses.

It all boils down to this. America did not have any sports cars untill they tried to emulate the cars coming out of italy and germany back in the 50s. Even Enzo Ferrari in the early 60s said the only sports car coming out of america is the vette. America looked at the ferraris and porches,and the american muscle was born. Now japan is looking at europe to design thier cars. People say why is everything turbocharged. Ferrari and porche have been doing this since the early 70s. America looked to europe for inspiration....japan looked to europe for inspiration...so in the grand scheme of this Domestic vs. Import thing....

and that was Car History in prospective from professor 2zpoint...lol

Stock they run high 14s. I have pummeled countless stock MR2 turbos with low 14 second cars by many carlengths.

We also have to watch for the new AWD turbo varieties coming out they can get silly fast for really cheap...

The STI Runs Solid Mid 12's with just boost control and an exhaust...

The evo can be made to dip into the 11's with about 2 grand in mods...

Sombody recently made an EVO run an 11.6@117 on the stock turbo no NOS.

fwiw, i'm betting an ls1 fbody with 125 hp wet shot, verter and drag radials ($2000 in mods) can be made to dip into the 11's, too.

t88 supra < to t88 camaro (or even stang)

yeah but the engine is a no-top end ****. with AWD 13s is the least any car should do.

ths sti is a bit better, after 80mph - no longer.

how abou tthe regular WRX..even a civic si will pull on it after 120.

also v8 guys can never talk too much **** why?

KOENIGSEGG= Fastest car in the world.

FWIW, a stock Civic Si of any year will not pull on a stock WRX. Not in the low end, not in the top end, not ever.

Yeah because a 117mph trap speed means it has no top end... (rolleyes)

Learn to read trap speeds and what they mean then we will talk...

Isnt a KOENIGSEGG an import?

Try running a T88 on STOCK INTERNALS, STOCK, ENGINE, and STOCK Trannies... and see if your motor will hold up like a supra...
