Tired of this RICER vs. DOMESTIC crap

I am sick of hearing all this ricer vs. domestic sh*t. All you redneck " AMERICAN MUSCLE TILL I DIE" countryboys can kiss my ***,and that goes the same for you little 17 yr old.." my momma bought my civic, but it runs 10s with an exhaust" dumba**es too. I love sport cars ...period. I give respect to someone with a fast civic (they are just ugly to me)...but the rest of those idiots give japanese cars a bad name. And all you V8 domestic heads talk too much **** on imports, cuz frankly they are plenty of imports that will hand you your ***. The civic to me is not a real sports car,but neither was the 55-57 chevy either. That still did not stop people from turning many of these into fast cars back then..huh. Why did they not just buy a vette. CUZ THEY WERE CHEAP JUST LIKE THE CIVIC. Now I love my camaro...but I love japanese sportcars as well. The SUPRA,RX7,AND MR2(91-95) would be on par with our cars stock, but leave us in the curves. My lt1 is a pain in the *** to work on. So we can't say v8s are easier to work on anymore. People always talk **** on supras ,but you need to read up on this car. It trully is a awesome automobile. All the internals of the engine can support up to 900 HORSES STOCK. Yes the turbo, fuel, and exhaust need to be upgraded (not cheap),but considering you would have to do major internal work on a ls1 or lt1 to achieve the same numbers the dollar amount is not too diffrent. Everyone that says most supras with mods just run 12s are full of ****. The guy who owns it just doesn't know how to work on the dam thing correctly. I know a guy here who has one that runs 9.80s and has full interior,ac, can be daily driven, and no he does not have 100,00 dollars under the hood.

I AM NOT DOWNING OUR CARS I AM JUST SAYING CHOICE YOUR WEAPON. They all have thier pluses and minuses.

It all boils down to this. America did not have any sports cars untill they tried to emulate the cars coming out of italy and germany back in the 50s. Even Enzo Ferrari in the early 60s said the only sports car coming out of america is the vette. America looked at the ferraris and porches, and the american muscle was born. Now japan is looking at europe to design thier cars. People say why is everything turbocharged. Ferrari and porche have been doing this since the early 70s. America looked to europe for inspiration....japan looked to europe for inspiration...so in the grand scheme of this Domestic vs. Import thing....

..............WHAT THE F*CK IS THE DIFFRENCE................................

and that was Car History in prospective from professor 2zpoint...lol

I'm sure some ignorant people will flame you for this, but I agree 100%. I like ALL cars built with performance in mind. What difference does it matter where it came from or what engine is under the hood. You may not like a car for a particular reason, but to dislike something just because it has a 4-cylinder or is from Japan is f'in ignorance at it's finest.

I love my SS, but I will always appreciate the turbo-AWD 4 cylinder cars from my days modding the Talon. I may not like how a Civic Hatchback looks or how much it costs to mod one, but I won't hate on it just because it's an import. Some people have open minds, some are ignorant. Bottomline, I respect SPEED and there are plenty of cars capable of obtaining this from the three major continents.

funny thing is you probably think you're being profound. Import vs. domestic cannot be summed up in a poorly spelled paragraph.

Yay! someone with some sense. However, you're going to get flamed for this one.

I love sports cars too(although since I'm a bit young I only ahve experience with the cars I and my family own('02 Jetta TDI, '01 Chevy Suburban, '97 z28, '89 525i, 00 Audi TT quattro, and the CLK 55)) So I will and can respect any car that is built with performance in mind. Hell some of my favorite cars would now be considered slow as sin. Cars like the BMW 2002, the Triumph tr6,tr3 and tr4a, The Jaguar XKE and the Mercedes 2000sl.

Man, since when did cars become a dick measuring contest, drive what you love, NOT what everybody else thinks should be loved.

Oh and all you die-hard "American or nothing" boys? You can all just shove it since the Europeans were doing it before us and the Japanese were doing it better than us.

No flame here.

Although since there is no kill involved then this probably would be better suited for the lounge.

Good speach though.

I mostly agree. However, it all comes down to preference. I would argue that the country of origin of a car is just as valid a preference as car color. I don't agree with bashing someone because they have a diference preference than you.

FUNNY THING IS THAT I DIDN'T REALIZE THIS WAS A F*CKING GRAMMAR CLASS. If the website was ENGLISH LITERATURE.COM maybe I would give a PROFOUND ****. People use slang and poor grammar everyday when talking with thier friends..it doesn't mean they are an idiot. I will be the first to admit I can't type worth ****,but what does that have to do with what I was saying. You are right that it can't be summed up in one paragraph. I was just giving some FACTS to think about while everyone is so quick to yell out thier OPINIONS. So why don't you trade that camaro of yours in on a volvo. It will fit in real good with the other faculty cars at the local elementary school when your giving the 5th graders a spelling bee.

I'm not mad at you though dude...

P.S. You spelled camaro wrong in your name

We were not saying it was meant to be. I said civics are used cuz they are cheap and plentiful(my comparison to the 55 chevys...by the way I bet those were designed for handling..lol) I was talking about japanese sports cars(s2000,rx7s,supras,mr2 turbos, ect.)and quite frankly if you dont think a stock, 2600lb,mid engined MR2 turbo can't out handle a 87 IROC you need to wake up from fantasy land. I'm not taking sides...I'm just saying don't hate a cool car because it's japanese.

I don't think that just because someone would only buy a car made by certain nationally-based manufacturers (no matter what country) gives you the authority to thell them to shove it. If they start disrespecting other vehicles just because of that fact, negating the virtues, then that would be a different story all together.

Moral: try not to let ignorant, or poorly worded comments take away from the good points you actually make.
