Results! LS1 vs. me
I can certaintly see Steve beating an LS1 with a minorly modded GT and drag radials. Some people have been getting mid 13's or better out of the new GT's with little work at all. Steve said he got the lenghts on those cars from the start, and he held them off. The man posted a story, get off his nuts. I have seen LS1's run 12.9's stock to 14.2's stock. There are a wide range of times and mph's anywhere from 100-109. Thats quite a large difference. So lets be an a$$ and generically say that any 3.23 LS1 will beat steve
He won, LS1's can loose.
He won, LS1's can loose.
And another thing the new GT's are comparable to LT1's. Stock LT1's have dipped down to 13.3's and traps of 105 mph. I never took my turd to the track stock but i bet it would have ran a 14.4@98 or something. So there is a big difference there aswell. There are exceptions to every rule. I can't wait till cool weather and some drag radials to actually see what this car has in it.

The comment about the GM board is spot on. GM guys can't handle the truth about their cars losing. I can handle the truth about my car losing because I am not brand loyal and i'm not a poor loser. How about instead of bench racing, you guys find me a stock LS1 that can beat me? The proof is in the pudding. All the bs and bench racing in the world means squat.

Steve. Your GT isn't in the same class as a LS1 car. You are starting ONE HUNDRED horsepower short of a LS1 car, is that not registering? Not trying to be a dick here man, but it's obvious the cars you've beat have had terrible drivers behind the wheel.

Fine. You guys win. I made up all the stories. Stock LS1s rape me to the tune of 100 carlengths in the 1/8 mile. They are so superior to Stangs no matter what is done to a Stang the LS1 can NEVER lose. I expected more of you guys, but most of you guys have your heads buried so deep in the sand you can't see the truth. Oh well, what did I expect from a bunch of rival Chevy owners, certainly not an unbiased chat.
No matter what I say, you guys won't believe me.

Nobody is doubting your kills man. Anything can/does happen. But, when you say your 280 hp stang can beat any stock LS1 you are taking it too far. Just realize, for every poorly driven/factory slow LS1 you beat there are 4 other LS1s that will beat you. I might be driving through Reno in my Cousin's '99 Z28...3.23 car. Only mod is a Flowmaster catback. If we do end up driving through Reno, we'll have to run em and get a vid.
