Couldnt someone say the only reason people stroke and spray an already HUGE motor (5.7,350cid) is because its the only way its competitive with a turbo 4 cylinder? I dont see any 350 cid n/a motors on the street making enough power to keep up with a 400hp honda.. before you get pissed of by my comment. sit and think about what I just said. 350cid is the biggest production motor offered in any car under 50k since 1982. yet its not effcient enough to keep up with a 96cid turbo 1.6, surely you dont think a turbo makes up for 254 cubic inches, 4.1 litres and 4 more cylinders do you?

Let's build a V8 just like your little 4 pooper and see what it puts out! That's what I thought.

fwiw, you cant stroke a honda engine to my knowledge. 14:!? wow thats retarded. actually, let me take that back, most of your post was.
as for those older folks rolling their eyes, most of them dont eve care about performance anymore. and you also seem to get the ricer crowd confused with those actually wanting to go fast in their hondas. again it somehow doesnt surprise me.
Bill:
i never said my turd gen was faster than your second gen. i was however using those stereotypes since everyone else seems to be able to use the ricer stereotype with any import. cant take the heat? stay away from the fire.

Let's see your 25 examples. So now you are comparing street cars to race Hondas?
14 to 1 isn't retarded you are retarded. Higher compression = more power in a n/a motor. It isn't that hard to comprehend.

There's no replacement for displacement. The end. A 5.7L V8 has more potential than a 2.0L I4.
I don't see why people always argue about vehicle weight, either. If people really want to go fast they'd stick a V8 in a Miata or something and be done with it. I know there's a tuner that already stuck a 5.0 in a Focus, it was featured in a magazine. I would drive that if Focii
weren't so ugly
. I will not drive a little whiney four banger and call it a performance machine. It's amazing how all these people call overhead cams "technological breakthroughs" and think variable valve timing is going to add 50 hp to a little tiny engine. And the reason people add turbos to four cylinders is because that is the only way to make it competitive with a V8. I haven't heard of any NA 4 cylinders that keep up very well with an LS1, for instance, so there's some proof. I'm sure someone will chime in here about how they've witnessed a bored, stroked, 14:1 compression every bolt-on imaginable Honda beat a bone stock LS1. Wow, you've converted me now.
Where do I sign up to drive a "performance machine" that guys my age roll their eyes at and older folks smirk when they see them and hot chicks beat them in their Hyundais and Corollas...
/rant... This subject has been beat to death anyway.

Amen! At least some people in here get it.

A stock long block 5.0 will not make anywhere near 400hp. You do realize that their heads do not flow worth a **** right?stock long block=stock EVERYTHING, heads, intake, came, block, internals, etc. That is a long block. Now with boost, everything is possible but only 50 hp more over 400 and you are going to run into issues.
Now a newer stock 5.0, which would be a 302, is not going to make any where near the numbers you are talking about reliable. Now if you are referring to the Boss, Mexican or Race blocks ok then that is a different story. A different stock 302 than what I have stated will have issues with the webbing, at the top of the motor, at around 450-500 hp. They have a tendency to crack and pretty much become a 4 cylinder,
.now a 350 making 900 hp?? hmm NO. even a lt5 motor which is a dohc stock 350 cubic inch motor needs to be bored and stroke to make those numbers and any stock OHV head will not flow the numbers a DOHC head will make like the lt5 heads.
350, now do you mean stock 350 or a stroke or bored over motor?
Ohh and just from the ****ty mods in your sig, I can tell you do not really spend too much time researching what produces power and what doesn’t.

I love when he makes claimes like this and when you ask for proof, he says, go ask such and such person. tell me what spec camshaft and heads do you need to make 900hp on a 350?

I know plenty of guys at my track that have the stock short block making over 500 horses with no problems. Why don't you venture to the track once in a while instead of being an internet troll?
A 350 could make 900 horses. Ever heard of Nascar? I am talking a full race motor.
I don't have money to dump into my car for good mods at this point in my life. I did the cheap mods so far. I know what makes power on these cars. I bet I know a lot more about these cars than you.
