Re: Yanking my engine out!!

well I got some new header gaskets today, should be putting my headers back in and new ngk tr55 plugs. new opti is on, and msd wires waiting as well. just got to get the crank hub all the way on and put the water pump back on.

still haven't finished my abs delete. need to get a valve in there, might just go 3rd gen valve for now from the scrap yard.

getting closer to hearing this sucker run again. shouldn't be long now

Site claims unrated rockwell hardness. Wasn't finding much out there.

Re: Yanking my engine out!!

Got my threaded rod in, ordered a couple in case they didn't hold up, but they worked out great. 1 foot is the size I ended up with.

got the hub on, my underdrive pulley and crank pulley are back on.
waterpump is back on, coil is on, headers plugs and msd wires are on.
New trans mount installed.

Going to put the radiator back in and I need some assistance. I deleted the ac and left the condenser out, whats a good way to secure the radiator in there without the condenser since it holds the radiator in place.

and im going to need to look harder for my brake reservoir, cant seem to find it lol.

picked up some coolant and trans fluid today. have the oil and filter ready. should be getting close to engine start up here soon.

need to but a new dipstick tube as mine has been broken off the bolt mount for sometime now. going to need new motor mounts, they are sagging pretty good and my pass side header is making contact with the k member.

Re: Yanking my engine out!!

Everything is installed and back together. I think I got everything right. Had to get some fuel threw the lines then she fired right up. Chandler motorsport opti works. I just have no brakes for now.

Does anyone know what size T fitting I need to tie my front brake lines together??

Re: Yanking my engine out!!

small update. still haven't driven the car since I put the motor back in, still don't have the brakes done. I replaced all the hard lines up front and used a t fitting to tie both sides into 1, and then straight back to the master cylinder.

now for the rear, I read that some had just bent the stock rear line up to the master cylinder, but the line from the rear is 1/4" and the line from the abs unit is 3/16" wasn't sure if it would be good to just put it in like that. either way I can't get the 1/4" line to flare at all, the tool just pushes the line out every time, and yes its a good tool (eastwood) so now im thinking I just need to replace the entire rear line. will it be ok to make it all 3/16". will less brake fluid volume going to the rear cause any issues? this is all that's holding me up right now.

Re: Yanking my engine out!!

With reference to Shangrila's post above, which has been deleted:

Strike 2.

Gonna go for strike 3?

Every thread on this site does not have to become a "look how great my head porter is".... "look how great my car is".... etc. When someone asks about dropping his engine and freshening his engine, he doesn't need unpaid advertising for your buddy.

This will stop now.

I'm going to start deleting threads that have nothing to do with the OP's request. This happens every time.
