I would take out the 662 ft of elevation if I were you...makes for about .02 difference in ET.

LOL, sorry dude.

TIP: Maybe take out the bullet next to "Used to have" so that it doesn't look like just another part in your list there. Front Page is a great program for this. Everything else looks good.

Thanks for all the responses guys, the flames were expected but I think the people in the know spoke up and the flames didn't mean too much and I think basically My question was answerd which was that LT1's and the 4.6 Stangs are pretty dam close in the performance department, (and the 4.6 from 96-98 as long as the head swap is done)
I know its dumb, because its not like you're only going to race your model year car. but the mustangs that were out when the lt1's were out weren't really in the same league (kinda like the 99+ ones aren't in the same class as the ls1s). But oh well, at least they're making progress and giving us some competition
all of the cars that we are talking about are out now no? Hmmmmm get my point?

PS: I just came from his house and showed him the responses from his fellow LT1 owners and he still does not believe it

You're correct. The 99+ 4.6's are damn near the same as an LT1 car when you're talking straight line performance.

Bone stock, I ran 14.1 @97, added exhaust and intake and went 13.9@99, added headers and gears and went 13.8@102, with it missing real bad above 5000rpm. I think without the miss it was good for 13.7, maybe 13.6. I have respect for some mustangs too, but I have yet to be beat by any stock mustang. The only one I have lost to so far was a 99 gt with a long list of boltons. I have beaten all other cobras and gts other than that(and no I have not raced an 03, although now with the current mods I would be more than willing). I say enough talk, race your friends Z and let us know how it turns out. I have a feeling you will be surprised.

there is no question in my mind he will beat my 97 in its current condition Ummmm stock if you read the whole post You would have seen that I have already stated that, the debate we were having was that he says that the 4.6 Can't beat an LT1 and this just is not the case, and after I get the head swap done I think He will be the one that is surprised , and Notice that I have never said that an LT1 is slow, just that the 4.6 and the LT1 are a good match. and I am correct in that statement

Stage
1: CAI/Catback/Pully ran 13.9 at 99.
2: Longtubes twin cat Y pipe, ECM tune 13.7 at 103 (shot clutch)
3: 4.33 gears in a 12bolt (loss of hp, add weight), new cat-less Y 13.1 @ 104.5
4: Huge cam package with all possible goodies, times soon.

At stage 1, i ran a 2000 GT from stop to 90ish. Pretty even launch and by the end i only had about 3/4 a car on him. They are fairly close. The older GTs are slouches IMO until you start stepping up the mods.

Before anyone gets too targeted on imports, Mustangs, Camaro's, I only want to comment that I vastly enjoy ALL racing activity.

Since my car has had issues (just fixed yesterday), I have been seen racing even dealer loaner vehicles... In the right setting, even a 1993 Lumina can go some rounds. Here is the UGLY photo: http://www.actionracingphotos.com/ph...s/P5180760.jpg
