Very good point, I missed that he lowered the compression as well. I have a set of LE heads/cam laying in the garage cabinet for almost a year now, just haven't prioritized to get them on yet...maybe this will get me going and get them on the to-do list

Re: More good Lloyd Elliott results

I have been watching the threads for a while lately. I am putting together a 355 and am going to send the heads to lloyd buy the end of the week. I have been looking for a good set of heads and cam for a while and cannot seem to find a better set up for the price of the le2 set up.
I think the numbers were very respectable. I really like the flat torque they offer. Nice work

Re: More good Lloyd Elliott results

Does anyone have any guesses on what kind of 1/4 and 1/8 mile times are possbile with this car given my set-up. Assume that I can get halfway denent traction on some drag radials. I also have 3:73 gears and a 3,000 stall convertor with a tranny shift kit. Some guesses from you guys would be cool before I actually go to the track.....

With a good lauch, I would expect you to be in the low/mid 11s @ 120 or so.

With a sticky launch in the 1.5-1.6 range, you should definitely hit low 11's. You should be knocking on the door to high 10's.

I think a more realistic time would be 11.30's to 11.50's with the 1.6 And that would probally be on a perfect night. Prove me wrong though and post results.

My guess would be 11.teens to 11.3s, depending on weight and weather conditions.

Re: More good Lloyd Elliott results

I would say high 10's with some chassis tweaking and a 1.5 60'. My car runs low 11's@121mph and I don't have nearly as much rwhp or toque. Later Clint
