Re: LT1 Crank Advice

A 390? do you want 390 cubes or 383?

You need pistons, rods and crank to get that done, not just a crank.

Well, with the right pistons he perhaps could re-use his rods.

Are you looking for names of good crank brands, or are you looking to buy a complete rotating assembly? Or what?

Re: LT1 Crank Advice

If you have a 357, its a 4.040" bore. Put a 3.75" stroke on that motor, without any more boring, and you have a "385" (actually, 384.57). To get to a "390", you'd have to use a 3.800" crank, which is what GM uses in their crate engine "383". Is that what you are after..... a 3.800" crank?

In any case, this is basic LT1 Tech, and belongs on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech", not on Advanced Tech. Moving......

Yep Injuneers math is allways right...lol

If the 799$ dragonslayer is too pricey then you still have several choices.

The eagle 4340 forged crank (3.75 stroke 1 peice RMS) is in the 600$ range. The next step is the scat cast steel (9000 series) you can pick those up for 250$ about anywhere, After that you can try the eagle cast steel crank, it is 189$ from Summit and Jegs.
