Re: Any good engine rebuilders in East TN ?

Thank you for the information and the links.

I essentially want OEM stock LT1 type performance and durability. This engine lasted more than 160,000 miles (I drive it pretty hard ), but I expected
a few more miles of service!!!

Your engines look to be excellent. Any way to contact previous buyers to see satisfaction level?

Thank you again for the assistance!

Wow! Thanks for the links!

Do you know of any installers in my area? I am a Trauma specialist and my mechanical abilites are far too minimal to install an F-Body engine!

Just up the road from you. Born in Cleveland, now live and work in Athens, TN. Worked at East Ridge and Erlanger in the past. ER and Trauma nursing mostly. My first Z28 was in the early 70's, have had several since.

I guess I have a need for speed!

I do a full range of installs (ie - everything) on Fbodies but I'm in Kingsport, right next to Bristol. A wee bit of a drive, haha.

I was out putting pretty new valve covers and a new flywheel on my 385 tonight in fact. Getting ready to put a little squeeze on there too

Nick and Eric are GREAT guys and really go that extra mile for you. They get my complete recommendation

WOW, great video!

I didn't know you guy's built the Pelech brothers engines for them. I thought they did all of their own work. Did you guy's build their engine for them? Pretty impressive if you did, 7 seconds and all.

We help out the Pelech's with their new stuff and their campaign for 2006. The videos above are file footage from the car when it was a Super Mod competitor. Just to clear up any confusion, don't want to take credit for a build that isn't ours afterall.

Re: Any good engine rebuilders in East TN ?

Nick asked me to post just to make sure there is no confusion...

First and foremost, I am not an engine builder. At best, I'm an engine assembler. In the past, I've been able to scrape by on that. For our latest small cube - big nitrous configuration, Nick has been very helpful with technical consulting, part selection, and ordering. I'm sure Nick will freely admit that he doesn't have 'all' the answers when it comes to our stuff, but he definitely has an excellent network that he can rely on for getting the right answers and recommendations. We appreciate all that he (and many others) has done for us.

As soon as our last few parts hit Victory, Nick and I will be digging thru boxes, putting the engines together, and maintaining them. With my brother being busy with our new chassis stuff, I will not be able to stay on top of two complete engines alone. I look forward working with Nick.

But I'll tell you this, when it comes to taking them apart, I don't need anyone's help. I'm a pro! Me & my 'nitrous wrench' can disassemble a perfectly good race engine in 7.62 seconds or less! Guarnteed!
