Re: LT1 is acting like its carborated

hey srry for not responding. For all of those smart @sses out there, i owned a carborated camaro and that is how it acted along with three other carborated cars i worked on. Now for my problem, I got a new elbow and it solved most of the problems. The air leaking in caused the sensors to read wrong. My coolant temp sensor is broken so that is funny that you say that John. Although i dont see how it will effect anything except the fans i will replace it and see if it completely fixes my problems. Thanks to all that were helpful.

The PCM needs the coolant temp sensor for several purposes. One is to set the A/F ratio on cold start - the equivalent of the "choke" on the carbuerators you are familiar with. Second need is to determine when to enter closed loop. Without the coolant temp signal its going to stay in open loop. Both of those problems will contribute to the rough operation.

I'd also apprecitate it if you stopped the name calling. I tried to get the thread back under control, to help you get the answers you needed, and now you're starting the flames back up..... seems counter-productive. Next step is to lock the thread.
