won't start!

After a long, pain full header install i relized i needed motor mounts. I just finished putting those in and i just bolted the starter back up and tried to start the car. the starter made some grinding noises and i stopped tring to start it. i took the starter back out check out the teath on the starter and they were fine so i bolted it back up and tried again. this time after a little grinding for a sec it started. i then tried to start it again later and it wouldn't start. it just clicked. so i thought it was the battery i hooked up a portable jumper and it did the same thing it just clicked. did i fry my starter? how can i tell?

Re: won't start!

You might have fried the solenoid contacts. My starter clicks when the battery is not fully charged, but if your battery is good then I think you probably fried the contacts.
