WHy do you want to install an inline and not an intank? I think you will be better off installing a good intank and not worrying about an inline. What is your setup?

Do NOT try and install an in-line pump that is sucking through a non-working, or poorly working in-tank pump. It will not work correctly. An inline pump only works if there is an intank pump feeding it. Otherwise you are going to be overworking the inline pump, like trying to suck fuel through a crushed straw. And if you suck that fuel hard enough, it can vaporize in the inlet of the inline pump and really screw things up.

Adding an inline pump is NOT a good shortcut to replacing a failed in-tank pump. Do it the right way, or you will only screw up another pump.
