Question In-Line Fuel Pump in F-Body?

Is it possible to piggyback the factory fuel pump with an in-line fuel pump, and if so, how do I go about doing this? What is the most common in-line fuel pump used?
Please help!

A TRex in-line fuel pump comes in the Vortech blower kit. The TRex supplements the stock fuel pump as it can deliver fuel under high fuel pressures that a FMU produces (80 psi).

I have since gone to a larger in-tank pump (Walbro 255 lph) as my fuel needs increased (580 rwhp) but the previous combo worked well. If you're interested in a used TRex pump, I've got one for sale...shoot me a PM.

The NOS 5176 dry nitrous kit uses an inline pump. The original kit included a 205LPH Bosch pump, that I am still using 7 years later (although now I run it in parallel with a similar in-tank pump). The NOS install instructions show you how to put an inline pump in the stock system without cutting any lines. They also show a fairly simple electrical setup, that turns the inline pump on and off with the in-tank pump.

If you are interested, I could fax you a copy of the install instructions.

You can sort of see the install in this photo.

Question In-Tank Fuel Pump

If my in-tank fuel pump is going bad, would i just be waisting my time and money by installing an in-line fuel pump? Could the In-line pump bypass the factory pump altogether, or is that not possible?

from what i hear u can do that if your in-tank pump has crapped out, but you'll need a reasonably strong pump to be able to push fuel through the dead in-tank one to keep up regular fuel pressure

I would recommend dropping the tank and installing a new fuel pump. I would suggest a Walbro 255lph if you car is pretty modded.

What parts do I need besides the pump to complete the install? Do I need another regulator in addition to the factory regulator? Someone point me in the right direction, Please.

buy the racetronix's setup for a walbro fuel pump, its "plug-and-play". u wont need anything else except your tools to do the job

Injuneer offered to fax you a copy of the instructions. It has the part #s as well. He faxed me one a few years ago. All you have to do is email him.
