whoa
The reason I ended my post with search for scientific reasoning (ie Dyno ot ET) was because all I had was SOTP back up. I am glad to hear that its more appropriate to have a steel unit for drag racing becuase thats all I'm really interested in. And I glad to hear that your times remained the same or got better? You said your trap speed remained unchanged. I felt as though I may have made a mistake not getting the al. fw thats all. I will check out the thread you guys are referring to.

FWIW, I don't think having an aluminum flywheel will hurt drag racing. You just may have to dump the clutch at a higher RPM.
I have no problem melting the tires from a standing start in 1st gear with my aluminum FW, on my stock motor N/A. Same from a roll into 2nd on the nitrous (or even N/A depending on conditions).
The inertia argument is no doubt correct, but in practice, I don't think you'll notice it if you adjust your driving appropriately.
I think that any weight you can shave off the front-end, especially connected to the driveline, is generally best for drag-racing. My 0.02.

When installed right, and I mean, no flaws afterwards, the Street Twin is a great clutch. I love mine, and I wouldn't go back to anything I've tried in the past.
I just love it!

PS: I do have the steel flywheel. Works just fine, I haven't been able to spot any negative about having it, as supposed to having an aluminum one instead. I'm sure having the aluminum one has its advantages, the way I look at it, I don't know if it would make me any happier over the way it is right now.

Do you guys recommend getting a new slave cylinder?
Its pretty much on/off clutch? No letting it out slow, once it grabs, ur going? Hows that work for reverse then?
i should be fine with the drivetrain as long as i stay on street tires right?
