I've got the chrome one on my old 96 T/A (now my brothers T/A),

The black one is the only one available on their site. I have heard that you can get the chrome one from GMPP at a dealership, but I'm not 100% on that.

I'd email SLP and ask them, but just sitting here and not asking SLP will get the same results. I emailed them a week ago on a dual CAI, and I am still waiting.

ummmm.......when was the last time you raced a Supra. My friend has a 94 that was putting down 414hp to the rear wheels and handing over 11.8's. No weight reduction other than the spare tire. It was also a near stock car with a few bolt-on's, nittos and lot of tuning.

Now it has been converted to a single turbo car putting over 600hp to the wheels and running mid 10's.

There is nothing common about timeslips between 400, 600 and 800hp Supra's. The only Supra I've ever seen run in the 14's was a n/a car. Which to me is a disgrace to the name.

I like american muscle as much as anyone, and nothing beats the chopping sound of a modded V8, but you gotta give props to the Supra guys. I've had my *** handed to me more than once.

Some of you guys with the deep pockets that have blown cars and N20 beasts may think different, but for us n/a car owners... a Supra is not really what I want to hit a redlight with.

I'd run a Supra from stop light to stop light all day long.
On the highway, it's a different story.
400rwhp in an Auto Supra and at 160mph the car was still pulling.

Yeah, I used to think the same thing. But, take that same auto Supra, turn up the boost, add a down pipe, nitto's and a 4000 stall converter and watch the fk out.

I'm not trying to support ricers here. I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about that on this board...I'm only being real.

Downpipe is almost always the first mod, besides the t-bleeder mod.

It would be interesting to see, but my friends Auto is now a 6 speed. Talk about pain in the *** conversions. Oh, and cost.
about $3500 for all the parts.

Oh, and I can take him out in almost any car from a stop right now. He still has the automatic rear diff gears and his 1st gear runs out sooooo fast and he has like no traction at all.

I think that if you take what LT1derful has to say to heart and actually take his advise that you will be able to see better et's. After all he is a bolt on LT1 thats a 12 sec car. I think harping on him about safety issues is pretty lame considering that the whole idel of moding our cars to go faster reduces saftey not to mention sending a 3300lb car down a track at 105+mph. Good job on your ride LT1derful, I know ill be useing your advise!

Wasn't aware that I'd need to clarify that the saying wasn't a truth, more of a sarcastic comment about how even low HP cars can run as good a times as higher HP cars.

I like Supras, I'll race one any time. I'll race a Lingenfelter blown c5...in either case, doesn't mean I'll win - and at least on the LPE side I WILL NOT. Racing's fun, I don't care if I lose; I have come to realize that it's not the end of the world. And anyone with a Supra (let alone a MODDED Supra or vette) has twice if not triple my income, no sweat off my back if I get beat cause I can't afford to drive the fastest car out there.

Thanks, BL.

You hit it on the head. I'm simply trying to offer someone advise on how to get better ETs without the cop-out advice of saying "spend more money". I've never understood why people at this board are so damned adament about arguing about senseless stuff.

Hopefully we'll meet up sometime...sorry I missed you at Darlington!!

Same here. But it still sucks. When my friend smokes my *** in his Supra I could still bite a damn nail in half. My car is worth sh it on the street. Since the shift kit/ 2800 stall installation, I have nothing but blazing tires on the street.

I agree, it does suck. But, I'm just a laid back guy. I love cars, and if its faster than mine (other than stock/bolt-on, what isn't)...PLEASE just let me look under the hood...PLEASE!!

Ya, the one for the LT1 has 2 small filters on the end.
For my car, they make the dual inlet/dual airbox setup.

OK I just got done reading this whole long post.

It frankly pissed me off that somebody even suggested removing the bumper supports...are you that F!CKING STUPID???????????

I am lucky to be alive because of those. Without that extra prtection or my head being in the wrong posistion i would have snapped my neck. I spent the last 6 months in a neck brace and a sling...and in physical therapy. I was hit in the rear by a subaru wrx going at 70+mph while i was parked. My camaro's bumper flew off and over the car and was 15 ft infront of it after impact. That bumper guard was the only thing that helped stop the wrx from reaching my backseat. The car took so hard of an impact my frame bent to the point that the doors could not be opened. The paramedic said i was lucky to be able to walk or live after seeing my car. I can't explain the amount of frustration i get when somebody suggests removing a bumper guard for .03 maybe, that is just plain idiotic. But on the other hand if you are truely that dumb to do something like that...you deserve to be the jackass paralyed or dead from a crash. Man some people **** me off!

the vehicles weight comes AFTER my personal safety.
My goal is to SAFELY make it across that line before it is to make it across that line quickly

There are reasons for rollcages, 5pt harness, helmets and bumper supports...

Do as you wish, 25lbs isn't worth the risk in my eyes-
I think its pretty lame to come in here calling me lame because of my point of view. Most will agree- safety first.

Also- i cant see those plastic things wieghing 12.5 lbs a piece
