Great Thread!

The LT1 is a small notch in GM history. This prevents it from being mainstream. When i first drove my LT1 camaro eight years ago, I Fell in love with the power and sound of the engine.

I could upgrade to a LSX engine, but why not stick with what we know and enjoy. I find it great to own the older "underdog" engine, spent money on the right components, and then wax somone in a LSX car or a stang. Yes ultimately you need patience with the engine, and you do have an uphill battle in the power wars but...

This is what makes victory so enjoyable!

^Exactly. Just because alot of you canceled your subscriptions doesn't mean you can't send an email telling him exactly that. Then when they start running more LT1 stuff you can resubscribe.

I sent my car in when they were asking for fast setups for the least amount of money. I heard nothing from them even though I was the fastest NA 6 speed at the time and did it with a stock crank and factory heads. Car was not stripped and was driven on the street and ran/raced on pump gas. Had a nice stock appearance outside and in if you overlook the big/littles and the tach. I will send them another email reguarding their coverage of the lt1 but I don't expect it to do anthing.

It still looks like an advertisers endorsement publication. I realize they need advertisers to make it all happen, but more feature cars would be nice (not only the mega-thousand dollar build-ups either), as would an even balance of relevant & objective technical articles.

Yeah, it does seem like they only have uber expensive builds in there and no "regular guy" feature cars (clean bolt-on setups or cam only/heads/cam stuff that runs well). Also, they just installed two aftermarket rear ends, and, "SHOCK", both cars were LS1 F-bodies. Hell I'd settle for bringing back the LS2 Vette they started building.
