Uhhh no we are racing flow benches again....

FWIW there is another 10+cfm @ .500" in that casting, that's without going to a monster port size.

I would rather see what the heads could do on a dyno vs what they can do on a flow bench. But at this point of the game where the heads are brand new, not alot of people are going to have dyno numbers or track times.

I guess we will all have to wait on BRE or AI, i know where my money is at.

I have two sets in ready for some work.... 1 is definately spoken for ;-)

I know these things can be VERY nasty fully ported, gets better everday. There can be 290+cfm out of them at .500", very good heads for a stroker when ported. Lots more up top but I don't want to race flow benches.

We might take one of the sets and just put a bad *** valve job in them to see how that works out but all depends on what needs to be done with that second set of castings.

Vicious95Z28, you still want a set SOOOOO bad?

Bret

Well they don't have a deposit on them yet. So in my world that means they are still up for grabs, gave the guy PLENTY of time on them.

Bret,

It's just not right to tease a guy like that! How do you think they would do with a max efficiency HR 357 or a SR 357?

Well we are going to run a set on a 358 Dirt Modified in Cast Iron as well and they should be a animal on that. They turn a lot more RPM than a stock LT ECU can handle (7500rpm), but that is with nasty 250-260° SR cams.

I'm curious and it taks alot to get me interested....Hopefully we'll start seeing some of these at the tracks and get some comparisons going...GMHTP are you listening? GMHTP has that LT1 project car (or had) it would be nice to do an LT1 build and test the heads at the track...Flow benches and dynos are nice, but track mph will seal the deal for most of us...

Jesus Alan don't get those hacks involved if you want the real scoop. It's a Pro1 Dart head, they are well proven on circle tracks all around the country. Hell in our neck of the woods a Pro1 or Platinum Cast Iron Dart SBC head is pretty common.

Maybe it's just me but GMHTP can't make anything run and doesn't have enough technical know how to do the little fixes to make them run. Dart works mostly with engine builders and not magazine hacks, so getting a set of Dart heads with a good valve job on them with the right sized valves seems impossible for GMTHP to do. Look what they did with the LS head dyno shoot out. The 275cfm flowing Dart 225's with the wrong valves in them made 20hp less than a 327cfm TFS head. I know for sure that those LS1 heads they have can get wokend up 20-30cfm with a correct valve job for the chamber and port. Hell with minor work and the stock Dart VJ the 225's can move 316cfm.
