You planning to build a normally aspirated engine or is it going to see nitrous?
I just put one together with relatively inexpensive parts. Makes close to 500 at the rear wheels and nothing's broken yet.

Re: 355 build up ?
i do not want to run nitrous i want to be all motor i want a nice heads and cam package and intake and all the bolt ons to really bring the motor alive what should i be pushin for ill have 12 bolt out back and ill have hooker LTs into custom off road Y-pipe into a corsa cat back exhaust i want to have more then 500 rear wheel and i want to atleast run mid to high 10s.
in other words i want to pull up to a viper and give him the finger and tell him to catch me if you can

Re: 355 build up ?
More then 500 at the wheels? Your looking at a power adder to do that man. Either that or a serious stroker. You would probably need a nice lightweight rotating assembly, stroked 383 or 396. Some AFR heads fully worked by AI and a big nasty solid roller cam. Even with that you still might come up short, especially through a 12 bolt. What you could do is a solid 355 shortblock, have lloyd port your factory LT1 castings, and a 100 shot of juice. That would be more likely to get you 500 at the wheels then an all motor setup.

Re: 355 build up ?
500 at the wheels sounds VERY generous...i just built a 357 with all forged internals and a cam a slight bit larger than an 847 with le2 heads, and i think mine will put out around 400-420 at the wheels.
Re: 355 build up ?
The question is very vague. Are you looking for a turn key solution, a crate engine, or is this something you are going to do yourself? What is your budget? How do you plan to use the car? Sounds like you want a fast street car. And so on.

Just watch out so that the "punk asses" don't think YOU'RE the "punk ***".
All kidding aside, 'bird is right.... it aint easy and Mystic is right too... a GM 847 won't get you there. It is possible NA... you just need the right top end and then you need the real hard part of the equation... the right suspension/car setup.
With your budget, it won't work..... not the way I'd want to build it anyways. That said, I'd shoot for a 400-425 rwhp build and put the juice to it in vast quantities.
