I didn't see anything about being able to flash the trouble codes with the SES light. Of course, this is due to the ecm that the 1993 uses and not the 1994-up pcm.

It's the big silver thing. The sending unit is inside that huge rubber boot. It's attached to the pigtail, you just have to coax it out to replace it.

I'm a blk 93 TT M6. Took me 2 yrs to have it tracked down. Theyt are rare. I believe out of 863 TT m6's 153 were black or something to that affect I lost the actual numbers but I remember it being really low.

For what it's worth, I think there's some kind of difference in the windshield wipers too. At least, when I went to drop in new inserts, the silly little computer box for parts numbers listed a 1993 version and a 1993 (late model). The ones billed as '93 were very short, and didn't fit even a little bit. The 93 (late model) ones were significantly longer, and almost fit right

Something I saw the other day- 1993s have the A.I.R. pump located on the front LH inner wheelhouse instead of on the LH front of the block. Also the A.I.R. piping runs around the back of the engine instead of the front like later models.

Mineral, Mescaline & shoebox, thanks for the replys about the oil pressure sender. I could have sworn I posted that I found it and fixed it w/ no problem at all but I just went back and looked. NOPE! Sorry
Longest/hardest part was getting that GD convoluted tubing back onto the wires! Thanks for answering my posts and sorry that I apparently didn't post an update. I hate reading posts were people ask others for help and then never post after the problem is completed. Looks like I've temporarily become one of those JA's.

Ok, both Napa online and Trico's website list a '93 (early model) and '93 (late model) for windshield wiper inserts. Looks like the earlys call for a 18" insert, while late models are 24". '94 and on are all using the 24" wiper. Now, if only we knew what distinguishes an early 93 from a late 93...

Has this been mentioned before?

The 93's have the oil cap on the valve cover and the others have the long tube style. I was curious why almost all of the cars that I've seen had the filler tube and mine was on the cover. The guys over at the Speed Density site just filled me in on that tonight.

Somebody brought that up the other day and I told them that maybe it was one of those "93 differences", but was not sure. They thought the extender was missing.

I noticed that "Were steering wheel radio controls available in 93?" is listed as Still in Question.

My 93 TA has steering wheel radio controls.

danno, im with ya on this one, having bought 3 different sets of wiper blades, none of which fit. the shorter blades (18") are for a 3rd gen. all 4th gens used the same 24" blade, but my 93 has a "slimmer" blade than the '94+ cars ive worked on.

Thought I'd bring this to the top....seems like an OUTSTANDING post.

Did anyone ever solve the issue of whether or not 93s had pink rods?
