My 93Z has leather seats, they look stock but I didn't buy the car new. I also have key-less entry, with a GM remote(it is also an alarm). I have GU5 code and no "1st" gear option on my shifter gate, but it will go into first. Also another thing I have wondered about is that I have a little LT1 emblem on my bumper opposite side of the Z28 emblem. It is body colored made of plastic. Only car I have seen this LT1 emblem on was a 92 corvette(don't see a lot of 93's); it was also in matching body color. The emblem looks like it is as old as the car. Just curious if this is on any other cars?

BTW, parents bought the car in 96 with 36,000 miles. Now has 86,000 miles. Good shape, garage kept, some minor scratches. I am just starting to really mod it too. Bought set of chrome LG motorsport wheels for it yeasterday .

I have a 1993 LT1 A4 Z28 and the wing has this funky little dip and I haven't seen it on any other car. It doesn't have the 2 pillars like the SS Camaros. Anyone know why I have this wing? Could it not be factory?

Thanks

No such thing. I don't care what he says, they never made them.

Either the tranny shop is wrong, or he doesn't have a stock transmission.

I'd bet anyone on here big bucks on this Call GM

I always heard 6 speeds were rare in the 93's. I know that T-tops were rare. There was only one 6-speed, Indy pace car made and it was made for the guy who was head of Chevy or GM (I can't remember which) who actually drove the pace car at the start of the race. It was his own personal car, not the one he paced the race with.

This info is directly from the GM 1993 Camaro Manual. All 93 Camaros have a 4L60 trans RPO-MD8. All M28-M29 transmissions require speedo calibration "NO GEAR". 5 speeds do have a gear for speedo, as do the 4L60's. Oil pressure sender is directly above the oil filter instead of on the back of the intake manifold (unconfirmed) 93 only is correct. So confirmed.

Sorry I havent kept up on this (hopefully I will have time to update it soon), but I have one more to add. The schrader valve for the fueal system is on the drivers side fuel rail instead of behind the intake.

Keep the info coming!

93 LT1's used multi-port fuel injection(MPI). All other LT1's have sequential fuel injection(SFI) like they are supposed to.

To recalibrate the speedo for a 3.73 gear i believe it is a 15 and a 45 tooth gear set that is needed. Can't remember positively since i put it in about a year ago. Not much to it. Speedo is no within 2 mph at 60.

If you go to the dealer and ask and they do not know what you are talking about have them look up a third gen with the option code for 3.73 gears. A few have them.

There is also the Speed Density forum which some know about already but i might as well post it.

http://pub26.ezboard.com/b93fbodymessageboard

Also on 93's does anyone else have a Z28 badge on their door panels to the right of the speaker. My 93 does but my pals with newer cars do not have them. I have not seen to many other 93's in the area to compare to.

on the 93's the bulbs that go in the tail lights and front turn signal assemblies are different compared to newer models. The 93's do not say air bag on the dash on the passenger side.

The 93 bose has a 3 speaker setup instead of 5.

Confirming things:
The oil pressure sensor is above the oil filter as stated. The 22lb injectors have a rating closer to 24 if you go by output on them. the AFPR is specific to the 93 but can also use a tune port AFPR. the alternator does have a different front fan. 93 is steel like all previous years but goes to plastic in 94.
