I can tell you have never driven one or the other and dont own either .....The LS1 does not fall short of an LT1 in the first to gears , thats rediculous ...Look at the Zero to sixty times .....a 4.8-5.3 for an LS1 and a 5.7-6.7 for an LT1 . thats the first 2 gears right there . If you dont own one and dont know what the truth is , why post ? Someone is looking for TRUE information , your ignorance may influence someone to buy something they may regret when they find out the truth .

theres no reason an LT1 will beat an LS1 through the first 2 gears if the LS1 driver knew what he was doin,unless it was an A4 vs. A4 or m6LT1 vs. A4 LS1. I think The A4 LT1 will get the jump at idle because most stock TC's stall around 1300rpm or so and the LS1 makes less than desireable power at that RPM (so does the F-Body LT1 but it still makes more at that rpm).
