kinda off topic, but doesn't the price of AN fittings seem ridiculous?

Does anyone know of any stock replacements with the same deminsions of the griffin. I looked at summit and the model number show requires a external trans cooler. No fittings on the rad for it?

I ordered mine strait from griffin... its like $280 with trans cooler...

and they can put the hose outlets/inlets on the radiator where you want em... Which would be better so you can put them where they belong. Mine are wrong (setup for a SBC... not a LT1 ).

Thinking about getting something like this and figuring out something to do with the steam pipe.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-92...mZ110186707962

Also why cant you use the stock radiator? The demisions are
24 3/4 Wide
17 1/4 Tall

That is more than 2" taller than what i put in mine. I didn't have to mod the bottom of my core support at all. You could use a stock one if you really wanted....

As for the steam line, I just removed the bleeder fitting on the thermostat housing and put a barbed fitting in instead. Ran my steam line to this . My car stays super cool and runs great...

.....when the head gasket is in good shape. lol

After a rad cut (1997ss), I attempted to re-fit my Be_cool stock rad (measures 33" width) in the cut space. I found it quite a tite fit due to coolant tube fittings exceeding the width space (heigth and width). Also, cut the lower rad support and trashed. I had to drop the lower rad support and have a slight rad angle, but, it allows for the room I need and ss hood fit (trying to fit an gzms #103 vac pump off the crank.) It's only metal, and, the gm motor compartment rad steel is heavy (but that's for mfg. front end crash stds.) Props to those that initiated this, thanx. B.

Beautiful kit... but I dont think that will fit even if you stand the radiator staright up. Look at the first page, nick has a tape measure showing 13" right to the radiator. Your look to be 18-20 inches. Take a measurement like he did and post it.

First off.. thread jack.. uncool... (been happening a lot to my threads. There is a classified section thank you.

But kit looks great... but does look like it would be cutting it close trying to fit that in there... plus what has to be done with pass side accesorys (sorry for spelling, never been a strong point for me. lol)??

Sorry to continue the jack Nick, but look at the pic below... looks like in an fbody chassis the pass. side header would hit the inner fender and it looks like a PT88 which means its pretty big... I dont see that fitting even with a vertical radiator.
