Making room for turbo... PICS!

Ok.. well i plan on doing my own turbo setup and im slowly woking on it (my graduation is tomarro so i have to take it slow..)

I recently made more room than the average person will ever get...

First... buh by air pump... second... deleated a/c (almost.. still working on that)... the third.. the most room yet... the radiator. Most people will just make metal straps to gain two inchs with the stock radiator. But why stop there?

here she be

and mocked up..

13" from the throttle body to the radiator... how many people can say that?

Hmm... looks good! I may have to go this route if I go with an aftermarket radiator.

Thanks for the idea! My only concern is that it being vertical and the airdamn. Would the airdamn still be as effective w/ the radiator straight up? What are you doing w/ the fan shroud, eliminating it altogether?

I've seen this done a couple of time but I dont think I've seen it done as well before, that almost looks like a factory configuration, good work.

It works really well actully.. with a 160 degree thermostat and without the fan on... i let it heat to 210 and drove dow nthe road and watched the needle drop to a 160... So it cools really well..

As for fan i only have ONE of the stock fans on right now. Im ordering a aftermarket fan to put on here soon (but the stocker is working alright for now).

Well possibly... it is pretty easy... i guess if enough people would really like to know i can give a full materials list and let what to do. I will even make some suggestions when ordering a radiator to make the swap a lot easier.

But if enough people want it then sure.

Well, I really hope enough people chime in, 'cause I'd like to know how to do that!

Re: Making room for turbo... PICS!

I'd like to do that just for the extra room in the front of the engine bay.
