How many n2o Passes on it? I know the 4l60e can handle bigger shots of N20 and faster times then that. There are a lot of guys I know taking the 4l60e into the 10's and a few more in low 11's even 11.0's on 150 - 175 shots for years with no trouble, when built right.
Is Dana doing anything to help you out with this?

It was his limited street build top of the line whatever he offers. Yeah he supplied the core and everything. maybe 15 nitrous passes street and strip combined maybe a couple more then that but nothing outrageous.
I don't know I haven't bothered to contact him yet. I know there was a 1 year warranty on it but thats over and passed now.

Broke the 3rd in about a thousand miles (same problem and 2nd tranny) prolly cuz the same local guy built it. Got fed up and ordered a built limited street 4l60e from dana and pro built (the 4th tranny) and now a year and a half later and about 2 thousand miles on it and 3rd and 4th gears are about as usless as a football bat. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed I paid that much for this built tranny and its now as good as a paper weight.

Um...In our last conversation, you were supposed to be finding a core. I never gave you any negativity about building a V-6.
As for nor returning your calls??? You know we were down for 3 months while looking for/moving into our new shop, right?
TransBrake? I don't believe a 60E will survive a transbrake for long. It's still in the testing stages. Yes, Rossler is currently the only company making a t-brake for the '60E.

Re: What broke in your 4L60E?
No idea what broke, if anything, or is it just time for a rebuild? Hopefully you guys can help me out with it. OK its my Silverado in my sig. It has an LT1/4L60e from a 94 z/28. It's been in there, and working great for about 2 1/2 yrs. or so. I think I have a little over 30,000 miles on it ,since its been in the truck. The rear in the truck is a 3.07:1 ratio, which is alittle off from the 3.23:1 that was in the Camaro. I used a hypertech to get the shift points where I felt they should be. It's been working great till just the other day, on my way to work, about half way there, when I noticed it had no 3rd, or 4th gear. I take off, and everything is ok at first. It goes in 1st gear like normal, then shifts to 2nd no problem. Then it goes from 2nd like its going to shift, and it feels like its shifted into nuetral! It also still has reverse. I'm basically screwed now, as I just spent a boat load of $$ on fixing the GF's 4l60e in her blazer.
I can not afford to do this more than once, or I might as well do it myself & learn something doing it. Anyone know what went wrong here, and willing to shed some light on this for me. It would be greatly appreciated. What does it cost for a good rebuild? The truck is mostly stock, just some shorty headers, CAI, no major power adders. I had no overheating, but it was doing a bit of rumbling sometimes, when I'd get on it, which only happened a few times recently.
