Shelby Mustang Super Snake.... if the GT500 & GT500KR aren't enough!
I never heard or understood people saying this until I came here. I would have thought if you couldnt afford a Vette you would buy something like a 350Z. I see the Camaro as a powerful 4 seater corner carver but I guess Im proving your point. The vette was the last thing on my mind when I bought my 69
I offer a bit of an ignorant responce as Ive driven neither. Id much rather have the Shelby. His car is pretty much Factory and the rear will hold up to what hes putting out. The man is a genius in my eyes and his engineering skills combined with being a factory car that has to hold up to all kinds of standards. Win win. Lingfelter as I understand it is aftermarket. M/T blew the rear out of one comparing it to a Z06. Sounds like a $100k nightmare pile of parts. Scott has opened my eyes. From my perspective,
Factory = Test it, Crash it, test it till it breaks
Aftermarket = throw these parts together and good luck sucker!

And as far as I've heard, Lingenfelter has quite good reliability.

If you say "Lingenfelter" to someone, it could be any number of GM cars. If you say "Shelby", you know it's a Mustang (even though he did a few Chrysler front-drivers in the '80s).
Actually, I think most people think of the Cobra first when they hear Shelby. I know I do.
As far as who is famous for making modified Camaros, Lingenfelter would probably never come to my mind -- I pretty much only associate them with Corvettes.
Yeah, I suppose that if you asked me who is famous for making modified Mustangs, I might think of Shelby first. I'd probably come up with Roush and Saleen just as quickly though, and possibly before I thought of Shelby.

Does anyone know what the interior will look like? Will it be the same as the other ones, or will it be bare? Any ideas?
I must agree with you there, the fact that they don't offer the warranty on this car is a little odd. I mean even though it has 700+ hp you think there would still be some sort of warranty on the car. Wether it was a 1 year deal or anything. With that aside....

$100k nightmare pile of parts? Lingenfelter is regarded as very high quality in the tuner world, one of the best. Their stuff usually doesn't break. They stand behind it with a warranty as well. Maybe M/T blew a rear out, so what. Sh*t happens. It certainly isn't the norm with Lingenfelter stuff. The 725 Mustang is unwarrantied. I am sure there is a good possibility of no shortage of stuff that is going to break on that car if put to abuse.
That is true, one of my buddies bought one of them and threw a rod a couple days later. Was pissed cause he was just cruising down the interstate when it happened. He was **** out of luck.
