The Super Snake doesn't appear to be a factory option. It's an aftermarket upgrade. I wouldn't be surprised if several aftermarket GM tuners (Lingenfelter and a few others) have packages that would compete with this when the Camaro comes out.

Yeah, I could see Baldwin Motion or Berger doing something like this...

The mustang has been out a while now.. that's why we are seening all these models and stuff. We are probably not gonna get anything like this for about 3 years... so... just be glad is American Muscle putting out the crazy horses.

What I would like to see more than anything is a 500 hp Camaro that walks away from this thing.

I wish every new car came with the option to trade in the warranty for another 125 HP

Blues Brothers.

*edit* I was beaten to it. That's one of my favorite scenes though

Wow thats nuts. Pretty cool though, always fun watching the Big 3 pushing up the horsepower levels. Cant wait till the Camaro and Challenger finally come out and we start seeing horsepower wars instead of just the Mustang flashing the hp numbers.

Would be fun to roll up next to a nice shiny new Skyline GTR in one of these beasts and blow its doors off

Which is pretty good for such a heavy car.

Yes, of course it is. I'm just stating that for that kind of money, I'd rather have the Z06 that could be just as fast with a little bit of dough (not that I'd need anything more than the regular GT500 provides). It doesn't help that I'm not really too big of a fan of the styling of this generation Mustang, but I think that I still might say the same about a Camaro like this.

This is a 50-$60k car, so it better perform and be just as sensitive as its predecesor.
Its cool seeing this kind of power, but the thing is...we are still seeing it as a mustang. We see a $25k car with mods to make 600-700hp, in the sense that alot of people think its in their reach. It isn't.
Slap a new body on the gt500, or this car, and don't call it a Mustang. Call it a Ford Thunderbolt or something.
We'd be putting this car down pretty quickly if we saw a new Ford, in the price range of a Z06, with no where near the performance. We'd call Ford retarded.
I admire Ford for trying to get everyone attention though, in their time of need.
