I hope the interior of the Colorado is restyled vs. the Asian-market version. I'm not crazy about the Camaro-ish guage cluster (not crazy about it in the Camaro either), but the weirdest part is the round cluster of HVAC controls.

Hard to say when we haven't seen the U.S. spec Colorado.

I will disagree. Looks like somebody put wheels on a Kenmore.......appliance.

Looks better IMO because the bed and the cab look proportional to each other. The front end is ok, but overall it looks more like a TRUCK than the Asian-market Colorado.

The Colorado looks like it has this huge cab and nose with a tiny bed that is short and does not line up visually with the cab like most trucks do.

1 more sign that a redone GMC Canyon pickup is coming
General Motors won't talk about a next-generation GMC Canyon mid-sized pickup. But it's getting harder to keep this truck a secret.

The 2012 model year will be the last for the current version of the mid-sized GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickups. This summer GM is winding down the Shreveport, La., plant that assembles the pair.

While GM has confirmed plans for a next-generation Colorado, the automaker has been mum on plans for the GMC brand.

But if you believe a supplier, both pickups are on their way.

Rugged Liner Inc., of Owosso, Mich., has put out a release saying that it will supply bed liners for the 2015 Chevy Colorado -- and GMC Canyon.

Rugged Liner also supplies bed liners and tonneau covers to other companies, including Toyota, Ford, Nissan and Volkswagen, in the United States and abroad.

I hope they do a sweet ZQ8 sport version of this truck.
The 3.6 with an M6 would be very nice.

I wonder if there is any chance for a turbo 2.0L or the 2.8L diesel I4? If I buy another truck it will need to get at least 26mpg and be 4x4.

Hopefully the GMC will sport a better look just like the Sierra Vs Silverado...

I really feel that a 25+mpg hwy (empty) diesel 4x4 small pickup that could tow 4-5klbs would be a pretty hot seller. Basically a smaller version of the 'light duty diesel' that was discussed in years past.

Automotive News is saying that the new twins will have 2 engines: the 2.0L turbo 4 and the 3.6L V-6. Still no word on whether the diesels will make it to the States.

IMHO, trucks are the few in the market that make sense for a diesel. We use trucks to work and diesel are made to work. Add the bump in MPG, it offsets the price of fuel.

Since, the Cruze is getting a diesel soon, heres to hoping the new small trucks get one too.

That autonews article has so much misinformation. It looks like the author has been skimming over auto message boards.

Not sure how much I believe about the 2.0 turbo, but it would be an interesting choice. I guess it makes sense if you want a good balance of power an efficiency. I would have expected to see the NA 2.5.

The problem with the diesel is that the volume isn't there to bring in a new engine. GM can take a chance with the high volume Cruze. The only chance of getting a diesel is if it can be shared with the Cruze (4cyl), or with the fullsizes (6cyl).

But weren't the Atlas 4 and 5 cyl. Colorado only engines?

Which shared many parts with the Atlas 6.
