production next generation Chevy Colorado

http://en.chevrolet.co.th/experience...the-world.html

Looks like an Equinox pickup. I like the crew cab version, but I'm not sure how I feel about the regular cab version. I guess I'll have to wait until I see it in person. I'm sure the US built truck will be tweaked for American tastes.

What I really love is the engine:
The 2.8-liter engine is rated at 180 horsepower (132 kW) and 346 lb.-ft. of torque (470 Nm) with an available six-speed automatic transmission (324 lb.-ft. / 440 Nm with a five-speed manual).
I'd love to see this engine in the Silverado too. Any ideas what MPG would be? upper mid 20's hwy?

I don't know about the MGP but, that diesel would make that truck quite the unique. I would be interested in the diesel.

I would be interested in this truck if it weren't for the front end. Ugh, looks like an uplander truck. I hope there's a GMC version.

I'm the opposite. To me it doesn't look like the bed matches up well with the styling of the cab. The crease between the cab and rear wheel well adds alot. They also need to bring the reg cab/8ft bed option back to the US.

I know they are building it in the US eventually, but hopefully they ship in some of those diesels in from Thailand.

Wow. Suddenly my previous affliction for the redesigned Colorado went limp. It looks like a minivan with a truck bed. Too polite. And the interior doesn't really look like anything "GM" except maybe a piece or two of switchgear. Otherwise, IMO, it kinda looks like maybe it was built by Daewoo.

I'm really hoping we get a wildly different interior and a few American/ roughneck tweaks. lol

and some kind of high output V6 (gas 3.6, anyone?) ...in addition to a diesel option. GM would really have a unique offering if you could get a 5-speed or 6-auto diesel 4x4 combo.

And still no 6-spd manual?
And no gas engine?

The bed doesn't look right; like it was just tacked onto a minivan body.

And what's going on behind the side windows of the regular cab? Not attractive at all.

Those specs are not for the US market.

The front end looks like it came off an Impala or Malibu. Doesn't look "tough" by any means.

Take the bowtie off that and I'd swear it was a new Toyota/Nissan compact truck. Agreed with the other 'soft'/'wimpy' thoughts.
