Welp, if it's a big(ger), comfortable, relatively quick boulevard cruiser you're looking for, Camaro (and Challenger) would certainly fit the bill. Some of us look for a little more.

And so do the other 0.0001%.

Good luck to you, if you are a genuine potential buyer.

I'm not sure a monumental increase in width would benefit the car that much. There might be some gains in the lateral department but forward bite isn't going to be all that much better with overall wheel diameter capped at around 27 inches give or take.

and why not?? this car puts down about as much power as a cammed LS1's. How many of those guys do you see running tires as minuscule as the Mustangs 255s?????

You can't just take hp numbers and equate them to tire sizes. You have to take into account vehicle weight, weight distribution, type of tire, tread pattern, stability/traction control systems, suspension type and suspension tuning.

Contact patch = air pressure x weight, in forward acceleration the tire isn't going to deform enough to take advatage of the added width with a low profile tire (especially with an 18 or 19 inch wheel and considering the car's 27" O.D tire). Ancedotal evidence doesn't change this.

In a turn, the wider tire will increase lateral performance since the bias has changed (the contact patch is wider in width but shorter in length) and I suspect the wider tire allows much more of that same contact patch to stay in contact with the road rather than actually increasing the size of the contact patch.

I'm guessing the tires are wide enough, didn't it get over .9g on the skidpad?

Yes, because the mustang is an OHC engine design, where the cam in the LSX engines is in the block

if that were the case, wed see more cars at the track with the skinny 255 tires. even if they ARE 18", wider will provide more traction
